now that Wentz has a sore lower back...how long of a contract extension does he get or deserve ? i have a chronic bad lower back and im not a pro QB. It's been bad for 20 yrs and any exertion sends me into pain quickly. With a surgically repaired ACL and now a bad back, how much money does he get or deserve to get ? he didn't win the Eagles the SB or win the last 6 games. He doesn't have a major key win in his resume. Do the EAGLES give me the Brink's truck of $30 million per 5 or 6 years ? to me that's a lot of coin for him. His injuries and losses are piling up.

He still has two rookie contract seasons to play out If they pick up his option. Waiting another season is a good possibility. If he can’t play all season next year trade him and recoup the first round pick. Teams need QBs. Wentz is pretty good. No RB is a problem. Your WRs are all average at best. What do you expect Wentz to do.
I and several others said they should have traded him after the SB when they likely could have gotten a kings ransom based on his regular season. Then you roll with Foles who just won you a SB. Yes Foles did not look good at the starts of the season. Part of that could have been adjusting to a new OC. There was also the fact that he knew no matter how well he played he was only holding the spot for Wentz. You trade Wentz and Foles comes into the season as the Man it changes the mindset and perhaps the outcome. What do you do if Foles runs out there this week and beats the Rams? Especially if he were to do it in an impressive fashion. Do you go back to Wentz for the Texans? Or do you see if Foles can have a hot hand again and sneak you into the playoffs.
im not blaming him Gid but all i hear in philly is "philly better save money to pay Wentz when the time comes!" well he's hurt again. this year has been dreadful. he's not a top 5 QB right now. he may become one or he won't. im not giving him $30 mil unless he gets healthy real quick and plays out of his mind for the better the next 2 years.
Wentz is probably done for the year as a precaution Jean. I don't go back to Wentz at all. They weren't winning with him anyways, the injuries, the holes and no secondary.
Alshon Jeffrey, Golden Tate, Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews isn't - or SHOULDN'T be - an "average" WR corps.
Hence the 6-7 record. But at least Jeffrey and Tate aren't average talents. Whether it's the play-calling or the execution making 'em average is another story.
Wentz has 3000 yards this season and 3 times as many touchdowns as he does interceptions at 21 to 7....any issues with that team definitely aren’t because of the QB. He’s completing nearly 70% of his passes. I can understand being weary of his ability to stay healthy but outside of that...the dude is a legit stud franchise QB. Eagles have just had a lot of bad luck this season where last season most things seemed to really go their way. It happens.
Eagles were crazy healthy last year outside of Wentz going down. This year they got it all back with interest.
Raiders pull offer to Oakland but “all options are open” for 2019... The Raiders pulled their $7.5 million offer to the city of Oakland for use of the Oakland Coliseum for next season, team president Marc Badain said Wednesday. But Badain and owner Mark Davis wouldn’t rule out Oakland as a possible option. In fact, they didn’t rule out any city as reporters threw out names of potential one-year landing spots. “We do not have any answer on where we’re going to play next year,” Badain said. “We made an offer of $7.5 million in rent to the city, and that’s now off the table. We have a number of options, and when we have an answer we’ll share it with you.” Davis repeatedly declared “all options are open” when asked about various cities, including San Diego, Oakland, Santa Clara, San Antonio and somewhere in Nevada. Davis did mention a reluctance to play on the turf in San Antonio’s Alamodome. “I’m not really a fan of that,” Davis said, “but, again, I’m not ruling anything out. I’m just giving you my opinion.” The city of Oakland filed suit against the Raiders, the other 31 franchises and the NFL concerning the team’s announced move to Las Vegas in 2020. It leaves the team homeless for 2019 for now. “I’ve got two words for the lawsuit, and I used them the other day,” Davis said. “One is meritless and the other the attorneys will understand, and it’s malicious. I’ll leave it at, and I’ll let the attorneys do all the work.” For scheduling purposes, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league needs an answer by “early January or February.” “I know Mark has expressed that he’d like to be in Oakland,” Goodell said. Saints release Brandon Marshall after one month... Though we never saw him on the field in a game, Brandon Marshall was, for a few weeks, a New Orleans Saint. The key word there is was, as Marshall was released by the Saints on Wednesday after exactly one month with the team, according to the league's transaction wire. Marshall signed with the Saints on Nov. 12 as an immediate replacement for Dez Bryant, the celebrated mid-season signing that went up in smoke when Bryant suffered a torn Achilles during his first week of practice with the team. Marshall was hurried to the Saints after the team processed the news of Bryant's injury, but never found his footing. First, rookie Tre'Quan Smith held off Marshall with a Week 11 offensive explosion just six days after Marshall's signing. Then, a variety of receivers contributed in small amounts, though none truly stood out. All the while, Marshall never even dressed. Marshall began the 2018 season with the Seattle Seahawks, where he caught 11 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown before he was released at the end of October. It seems as though this could be the end of the line for the 34-year-old veteran. (NFL.com)
your team and JuJu and Brown has exactly 1 more win then the average Eagles. Lot more problems with the Eagles then their WR crew.
I'm with BWW, and disagree with Jean. Wentz is a franchise-type QB; Foles is not. Wentz has been productive even though it's obvious he's still hampered by the knee injury he suffered last year, and the back injury he's apparently been dealing with for weeks now. If the Eagles should have made a QB trade, it should have been FOLES who was dealt - no way on God's green earth was his value EVER going to be higher than after his playoff run. Browns offered the 35th pick in the draft for Foles - how would Nick Chubb or Kerryon Johnson or Darius Leonard have looked wearing Eagles midnight green?
For scheduling purposes, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league needs an answer by “early January or February.” This is a unreal story Will.......The Mayor of Oakland has weighed in on this issue and she is pissed at the Raiders.......it is possible the Raiders will have to play Home Games in San Diego /19 ???
