    then...
You exagerrated something, then claimed not to twist anyone's words. Those two things are the same. If you exagerrated something to make a point, you twisted the argument. Just sayin'...

Something I learned from the CBS days was that you have to be very careful how you make an argument in these forums. Taking someone's statement and exagerrating a part of it to make it seem like the primary point, or even change the whole concept, is going to get you called out every single time. If someone says that LaMarr Jackson plays a similar style to a young Steve Young and you claim they are saying that he's on the same level as Steve Young...that's a You problem.

Steve Young sucked so bad early in his career that Tampa gave up on him. I don’t think Jackson is playing as bad as Young did with Tampa. So the start of their careers is a fair comparison.

As I read through the last 10-15 posts, or so, on page 4, I was more entertained than I've been in awhile on these boards. Had a great laugh. No one want's to claim this guy but it's obvious he's Browns fan down to the stains, despite Lyman's attempt to disown him.

Showstopper doesn't bother me, whenever I see a post that's his, I skip right over it. He doesn't know jack.

It wan't Young that sucked, it was the players he had around him that sucked. The TB Bucs needed players to build with more than they needed Steve Young, who was ready to be successful in the right circumstance. Remember, Steve didn't start out in the NFL, he started out in the USFL in 1984 and had fairly decent stats with a middle of the road USFL team: 1984-1985 Los Angeles Express – Passing: 560-316-4102, 16 TD, 22 INT; Rushing: 135-883, 9 TD; Two-point conversions: 3

Comparisons are worthless. But if you ask me who I'd like him to end up emulating, it would be Patrick Mahones. He runs, avoids the rush, has awareness downfield and throws accurately on the run and from the pocket. He also has some really decent talent around him, and that always helps.

My problem with Lamar is that I haven't seen consistent accuracy with his passes. That and the fact that he's fumbled 7 times this year, 5 in his three starts to go along with 3 ints. is a bit worrisome.

If his Ball security and passing abilities (displayed so far) improve to the level of his running, the Ravens might have something.

  5. Just keep reading...I can teach u a thing or 2...here’s my 1st teaching moment....Lamar Jackson will NEVER be a franchise QB in the NFL

You're just going to have to trust me on this. Like every fanbase, we have our fair share of resident assholes. But this asshole isn't one of them.

  9. They don’t need Lym’s acceptance...I’m a football fan...Lamar needs 28 pts 2day to be in striking distance unless the Def scores...I don’t see it happening

  10. Where has this guy gone? Didn’t he tell all of us that his opinion was superior to ours because he watched Lamar live at practice? Something about horrible accuracy and he can never be a franchise quarterback?

Dude straight ran off of here and went into hiding LMFAO!

Quite honestly, a bunch of folks that used to post here have left lately, the boards have lost a ton of activity, at least to my observations.... BUT, everyone was hating on Lamar last season, and I am tickled pink that he has went out there this season and dominated the NFL to a magical MVP season and took the Ravens to the #1 seed which no other qb or team has been able to produce. In his 2nd season, he has set records, made Ravens history and he is JUST getting started. Man, what a legacy draft Ozzie pulled out of his hat in 2018. Thank you for revitalizing the Ravens franchise just when it was needed.

Well, if we're enjoying old posts, this one definitely didn't age well. Jackson is 19th in passing yards and 1st in passing TDs, while being 3rd in passer rating and 1st in QBR. Seems pretty efficient to me

Remember too that Lamar essentially did all this in the equivalent of 13 and change games (nearly 14). He's truly having one of the best QB seasons the NFL has ever seen.

Also in regards to old posters who don't post here anymore, I'm pretty sure several of them are banned.

I can't think of too many Ravens posters that could have been banned. Then again, we didn't have a huge migration from SeeBS anyway.

That said, I wonder where 2k has been?

After quick research, 2k hasn't posted since week 1. Jazz has been m.i.a. all of 2019

2k and Jazz shouldn't have issues. I'm nearly positive Nightmare is banned because apparently he was an alt account all along? Wouldn't surprise me if faulk was banned too.
