  1. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

In case anyone is looking at that like “huh?”, I asked Joe on our last podcast why in the world the Bill’s still had Benjamin on the roster.

Might be good news for Benjamin as I bet the saints at least bring him in for a tryout.

NFL puts ref Roy Ellison on administrative leave after Jerry Hughes allegation...

Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes accused official Roy Ellison of calling him a b—h during Sunday’s game, and now the NFL has taken the first step toward disciplining, or even firing, Ellison.

Ellison was placed on administrative leave, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The NFL suspended Ellison for a game in 2013 because he used abusive language toward a player. And Ellison had previously been warned about using abusive language toward players after a prior allegation. So this is at least the third time such an incident has taken place.

That may make it hard for Ellison to keep his job. If a suspension wasn’t enough to get Ellison to treat players with respect, he may not have the temperament to be an NFL official.

Ellison, who fills the role of umpire on the officiating crew, is considered one of the best in the league. Last season he worked the Super Bowl, an assignment officials don’t get unless they’ve been highly graded during that season. He’s also a full-time employee, unlike most officials who are part-timers. But that’s not a guarantee that he’ll keep his job after yet another allegation of inappropriate conduct on the field. When Bruce Arians said that the Browns job is the only coaching job he’d take, he wasn’t saying it because the Browns job was the only job that was open.

Arians tells Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio that the former Cardinals coach has no interest in replacing Mike McCarthy as head coach of the Packers.

“No, not at all,” Arians says in an interview that will air later tonight. “If I ever return to coaching it will only be in Cleveland.”

Reminded that the Packers job is a great job, Arians didn’t dispute that fact.

“Yeah, it is,” Arians said. “I have no desire to coach in Green Bay.” (PFT)

Ariens coached in Cleveland before. I think he wants a chance to knock off the Steelers.

May be the case if Tomlin was suddenly head coach of the Vikings Bruce may want the Packers job.

Gonzalez only had 4 1,000 yard seasons. For a TE that had 15,000 career yards, 4 seems low.

You guys are in the driver's seat to win the division...the Panthers are directly in front of them for a Wild Card spot...that is what we would help them with.

It might just help you out too, if you can't hold onto the thin lead in the NFC East.

Yes but he played 17 years and had 14 years of over 850 yards, including those 4-1,000+ yard years and 5-900+ years

To put that into perspective...Gronk is just about washed up...has only played 9 seasons, and while matching Gonzo with 4 years of 100+ yards, he has ZERO above 800 yards in his remaining 5 seasons.

the driver's seat? if they lose to the eagles, they are both tied ? only a win put's them in the driver's seat.

The Cowboys right now are in the drivers seat (they are in 1st) headed into the game with Philly.

Drafting Olsen? A triumph for the Chicago Bears.
Not putting Olsen to good enough use and trading him for nothing relative to his career production? Completely in-character for the Chicago Bears.

Umm, that's what the driver's seat means..they hold their destiny in their own hands. They don't need anything other than winning to happen.

If Philly can somehow win this then it's gonna be interesting, but Dallas is in the driver's seat.

Technically the Eagles too. They still control their own destiny.

    true....

I take it back...I don't hope to help any of you this weekend...

I hope the Browns win and the Panthers still knock you both out of the Wild Card spot with the Redskins, QBd by Butt Fumble, beating the Eagles, whom beat the Cowboys...thus allowing the Skins to sneak in and take the division title...

Is that better for all of you?

lol. I was on your side. Dallas is in the driver's seat. 1 game up, at home and don't play the Rams and Texans still. Eagles are just dirty back seat drivers right now.
