Bucs win puts Atlanta back in the cellar. Falcons are on their way to a potential top five draft pick.
With no time on the clock, the Chargers miss a FG, but the Steelers were offsides giving the Chargers another kick from 34 yards, wow. 2nd attempt, the kick was blocked, but the Steelers were offsides again... ive never seen anything like this. 3rd attempt... 29 yarder to win the game is good, wow, Steelers were offsides again but the penalty is obviously declined and the Chargers win a big road game in Pittsburgh. Chargers are 9-3, Steelers have lost 2 in a row. What a game, what a finish!
i don't think it was nearly as bad as the Rice incident. Cutting him seems excessive. He apologized for it and getting treatment, so now he's out of a job ?
IMHO, it's worse than the Ray Rice incident. In Ray's case, he was confined in an elevator being physically confronted by the woman...still should have NEVER touched her as he wasn't in danger, but he was at the very least protecting himself. In this case, the woman had already left Hunt's apartment. He was removed from the situation and he reinserted himself outside the confines of his own apartment. HE was the aggressor here. He apologized because a video made the situation worse. He lied about it until that moment, never making an attempt for restitution to the woman. He isn't currently getting treatment, he said he Would if he NEEDED to...in other words, if it's part of an agreement he will..but in the end he only apologized because he had to if he has any chance of getting a job in the NFL in the future. There are literally thousands of jobs he can get if he wants one. The NFL shouldn't, imho, stand for domestic abuse. He should never be on another NFL team, IMO. GOOD, if it hadn't been released, he would never be punished and it likely happens again. They are already investigating a second, unrelated incident.
wait a minute - THAT WOMAN WAS Rice's pregnant FIANCEE OR GIRLFRIEND, wasn't it? he wailed on her. Knocked her out. it wasn't some stranger ? either there's more to the Hunt video than what i saw or that was not as bad as the Ray Rice video. It's not even close.
Violence is violence...BOTH are the worst kinds of acts. It wasn't the act that I posted about, it was the situation. Hunt was tucked securely away in his locked apartment, he had been removed from the situation that started inside the apartment...YET HE CHOSE to insert himself into a volatile place outside that apartment and proceeded to act violently against someone who was simply annoying. She was flailing her arms, let alone threatening him in any way. HE was an aggressor towards a woman. I am NOT DEFENDING RAY RICE...he is the worst kind of man. But, there could at least be made an argument for defense in that case...I don't believe in the argument for defense, but at least you could make a case for it. The result of the violence is irrelevant to my comment. The violence is disturbing on a whole other level.
Please don't start a debate about which is worse . . . Knocking a women unconscious in an elevator -or- knocking a woman to the floor and then kicking her as she tries to get up.
It's obvious the point of my post was missed completely. I was debating the act in any way, shape or form. It was the situations, which were 100% different, and how they were handled. To leave an apartment to attack someone is inexcusable..That was my point.
