I disagree with that comment Skinny.......Dan did not attack you.....he made point.....something you do on regular basis about the Leafs.........

I don't doubt that Dans a good guy in person, these are just hockey debates on the internet.
I'm not goint to go reaching and claim I know the man personally.

What I do know is that he represents a collective mentality from a fanbase I'm all too familiar with.
I will cease posting on the sabres boards and stay away from any potential conflicts in the interest of growing the hockey community.

sorry but did i not call this last season ? didnt i say their attendance was a joke and what did dline say? "it was because it was against the Flyers." please. Flyers fans travel. This was not vs the Flyers and it looks like a ghost town. total joke. for God sakes give this team a real hockey fan base market. south florida isn't it.

 

skinny-congrats on the Nylander signing. read it could cause problems with future contracts and the players and within the locker room and the team?? the leafs just got a whole lot better with this regardless of the issues it may bring later on. if they win the Cup, all is forgotten.

The last few days there's been a lot of time spent on things other than hockey. For my part in that I apologize to everyone.

I believe that L4S is the best damn sports chat board on the planet. Tim made some comments that, for me, hammered that point again. This place does not depend on any one person, no one makes this site what it is. However, it is dependent on everyone if it's going remain successful. It's the collective contributions off all that makes L4S special.

Do I like things that were written about me? No, not really. Do I agree with everything? Hell no! Of course I remind myself that it is only when I disagree with someone that I have the opportunity to learn something new.

I'd like to thank everyone for making this my preferred place to talk sports. I feel obligated - since I was a direct participant in the problem - to try make amends in a concrete fashion.

I have tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs at Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday 12 February. (They're decent seats about 11 rows behind the visitors' bench.) I'm offering that ticket to skinny so we'd have an opportunity to get to know each other better than our 2D avatar permits.

I also have amassed a bunch of Marriott hotel points and can set you up in a comfortable night or two in Denver.

If we meet, then you'll not have to guess about who I am. You may not like me afterwards; maybe you will. But, it'll be a fine night of hockey in a fun town.

If for any reason skinny cannot accept this offer then I'm going to extend it to anyone that can make it to Denver.

Dan, I was the only poster here that predicted a breakout season for the sabres from a year ago. I saw the same upside that I saw in the leafs when they finished in last.

Anyways, there's nothing wrong with a friendly rivalry. The sabres fans said that they really enjoyed beating the leafs in '99 EC final.

 

As far as putting it behind, yes, I don't wish to continue any back and forth. I'll cheer for the leafs no matter the competition.
When the sabres do good, it's better for hockey and nhl all around. It really feels like we have two hockey teams where I live and Joe even more so.
They really are the unofficial 8th canadian team, tsn covers them as such. RJ is canadian and 35% ot more of their gate is canadian.

wow reports are coming out now that hextall was a control freak. he had gord murphy spy on the players when they were talking in the locker room and when the team was trying to eat pizza after a game, hextall changed the menu to organic foods to prevent that. he pissed off alumni by not letting them have access to the current players or locker room for ALL alumni functions and many more odd things. wow. see ya !
