RIP Roy.........I do remember watching him on Hee Haw........and he was a very good at playing the Guitar. I had forgotten he was also on the Beverly Hillbillies.
I remember him playing the banjo. He even had banjo instructionals for sale. TBS used to run the commercials.
That guy could make a banjo sing an dance. It's a shame to see him go. But,,,, We all gotta go at some piont. We're just all trying to put it off for as long as possible. Best of luck to all of us on that.
Goldy was a seriously PROLIFIC writer. Check out his list: In his long career, which began in the 1960s and lasted into the 21st century, Mr. Goldman also wrote the screenplays for popular films like “Misery,” “A Bridge Too Far,” “The Stepford Wives” and “Chaplin.” He was a prolific novelist as well, and several of his screenplays were adapted from his own novels, notably “The Princess Bride” and “Marathon Man.” He also won 2 Oscars (Cassidy/Sundance & All the President's Men). He was also a VERY VOCAL critic of the film industry.
