    Well....He hired Dorsey

He also hired Sashi and crew, which I think had a lot of say in hiring Hue, analytically, he might have been the top choice based on who was willing to take the job at that point. With "the plan" there was probably some push back by many candidates and Hue seemed to be on board from day one with this plan.

What I know today is, if they beat the Texans in Houston...They better just go ahead and make Gregggg Williams the permanent HC along with Kitchens the permanent OC. Take away the interim tag now and let's get to work.

If McCarthy is at the top of Dorsey's list like some are eluding to, I am ready RIGHT NOW to name Williams the HC.

This team is reacting positively to Williams and we have no idea how they will react to someone new...keep the mojo working!!

THIS IS the era of Browns football we have all been waiting for since the return!!

If we knock off the Texans, you'll see Browns fans coming out of the woodwork. Fans that have been hiding for the last 20+ years...

As long as Mayfield keeps slicing the defense with these quick rhythm and timing throws, we'll be fine. The nice thing is how Baker has been spreading it around so effectively. The defense doesn't know who to double. He rolls through his progressions like a seasoned vet. People say he reminds them of a young Drew Brees, and I agree there are a lot of similarities in their games, but even Drew would admit that, he didn't come along as quickly as Baker Mayfield. He looks nothing like a rookie at this point. In fact, I'd put him in the top 10 QB's in NFL already. There, I said it. Last week in Cincinnati, Bake looked and played like he was back at Oklahoma. The really exciting thing is, he is only gonna get better.

It's not just Baker either. Browns have been drafting well lately, how refreshing is it to hear that? We have key young cornerstone pieces of this franchise in place (Garrett, Ward, Mayfield) to build around. And we have young talent like Nick Chubb, David Njoku, Joe Schobert, Larry Ogunjobi, E. Ogbah, that have been major contributors, just beginning to tap into the immense potential.

It's December and we are playing meaningful football....

Joe needs a contract extension. His runs out next season.

The literal heart and brain of the defense.

He was my guy even early in the draft process, but this is a line crossed that cannot be tolerated.

Agreed. We gotta take care of Schobert. It seems he is always in the middle of the big plays....The interception on Sunday that Randall gifted to Hue, in a classic moment, was caused by Schobert's pressure right in Daulton's face...

And just like that, Kareem Hunt is cut.....

Maybe the NFL didn't see the tapes until they were made public....

Word from KC is that the Chiefs are claiming they never saw the tape. They knew of an incident and investigated but were unable to acquire video. When they interviewed Kareem about it, he was evidently untruthful. Upon seeing the disturbing video, KC released Hunt immediately.

The NFL is entertainment, and their concern is for their own power and wealth. They will/have taken the "right side" on issues that their public is clearly on behind. That is not to say they will seek out and bring any such behavior to light (particularly if the player involved is a "star", gotta watch that bottom line). The same rules apply to successful politicians, actors & actresses, or business people. The Dollar is the yardstick. If you are helping make the powerful wealthy: let's talk about it, if you are just another cog in the wheel: you're despicable, and must be cast out, publicly shamed.

Video, removes the power of disclosure, when it gets out, so video over rules. Still there will be opportunities left open to those who've proven useful to powerful. "He's paid his debt/suspension, vs he's a bad guy". Colin K is never going to play NFL football again, and for what? He embarrased the league, or more accurately: he exposed an issue and the league embarrased itself, by not knowing how to handle it.

Protecting the brand (watching our money), is the mantra, if and only if the cameras are on, and their on all the time now, and everywhere. We've arrived at the point where the media and their willingness/ability to get a story out, is the driving force. Values are applied only once that line is crossed. It's discouraging, and it's pervasive, and it's growing. One hopes it leads back to re-establishing "actual values". I guess we should be grateful they still react at all, once it becomes public.

I can't believe the NFL/KC was unaware of the tape. I believe they thought they had it covered, or had it buried deep enough that it wouldn't surface, at least until the season was played out. Now "that's despicable".

KC just dropped out of the SB running. Kareem Hunt was one of the best offensive players in the league.

That and it's an Andy Reid team. December is unkind to Andy

The Good: ............ uh, held them to 6 points in the second half, or the consolation period.
Seriously, put up almost 400 yds passing, Landry with more than 100, but the game was over.

The Bad: 3 Ints, Ward concussion, Holding call on a TD. Allowed another 100 yd rusher.

The Ugly: Where was the D? Baking Turnovers. No running game. Calloway's fumbled TD

Only things to mention.....................multiple dumb penalties on key plays and the turnovers.

The first half was not pretty for either side of the ball. And was the second half just garbage time or did the Browns (offense) come out playing? The defense was pretty shaky and ineffective for most of the game. The Texans looked pretty solid and should be a tough out come playoff time.

I think that first drive of the second half was legit, but after that the Texans did enough on offense to stay in control the entire game. The rest of the offense was garbage time...THOUGH, in garbage time, long pass plays should never happen. Those were legit throws that we can at least be encouraged by. They are indefensible throws that, as a part of the whole, could make this offense extremely dangerous in the future.

I'm just saying, giving Baker credit for 395 yards is kinda fluff... about 100-150 of that is garbage yardage.

I was excited about a comeback, right up to the point Callaway fumbled a sure TD at the 1 yard line...WHO IN THE NFL holds the ball the was he was on that pass? He better spend 4 hours this week being taught how to cover the point and tuck the ball into your side...something we teach at peewee level in Bellevue OH. Inexcusable.

The good...Myles Garrett and entourage putting pressure on the Texans all day...the bad, letting Watson eschew that pressure repeatedly with missed tackles and poor follow up by teammates, which allowed 10 yard sacks turn into 10 yard gains. Pursuit needs to be upgraded at the second level.
