The last time the sabres were worthy of news reel was for being pussies vs the bruins. Lucic ran Miller and nobody on the team had any stones to stick up for their goalie. They had to hold Rob Ray back from hopping the boards from his job as the tv analyst.
I remember when I was 7 years old and our school had a public speaking contest. There was this older kid named John that stepped up to the podium and roasted RJ on being a homer. He was imitating his calls on the goals, when the sabres scored and when the visiting team scored. It was hillarious then and it's just as hillarious now. Bashing the sabres ever since I could remember, and loving it.
They're the talk of the NHL from going from near worst to near first. So we're having a little fun at their expense. Not a big deal. Be happy they are winningand their top draft pick isn't a bust.
No one is unhappy about the fact that Buffalo has turned things around. No one minds someone poking at another team. What is sad is the level of drivel that has taken over the hockey boards. There is no reason for people to come here anymore. The people who wish to talk hockey have left.
Im still game to talk hockey and sorely and sincerely miss the conversation and especially those who have left. Bashing is not in my nature, I don't participate, like it or read the shit. I miss the rebutle of decent posters who love the game that could interject their opinion against the negative and frankly stupid drivel that gets posted without stooping to their level... Well, I was having a decent discussion with Dan about Jeff Skinners future. Dan said that one option for the sabres was that they could acquire assets for him if they couldn't work out a deal (contract). I simply stated that there's no way that trading him would be an option, if they're contending for the playoffs at trade deadline time. His response was his usual man-child (I'm way more educated than you, for you to ever teach me anything ignore). So, what's left? Treat a child like a child.

I'm having a civil and very sensical hockey conversation that totally makes sense. Jeff Skinner is a one year rental for a playoff contender, he's on pace for 50 goals. Anyone that thinks the sabres would move him in march really doesn't know hockey, and is running away from the conversation for fear of being exposed for not having that high of a hockey accumen as maybe fellow posters here might give him credit for.

(The fact is that I said nothing when you asserted that Skinner would have minimal value at the deadline. After all, you probably still believe you were right about E. Kane.) There is an alternative explanation. I've been down that path with you before, and before continuing a conversation that was not going anywhere, I stepped back. That's what cooler heads are encouraged to do. The next I see is a series of drivel that had as its theme: "the Sabres suck", "Buffalo sucks", and/or "a Bills kicker once missed a FG". We're not obligated to respond to everything. We respond when we wish and and see fit. It's nice when we meet a sense of decorum. I've met Cat. I like ___ (the real Cat). I know he was just having fun. I also know that ripping another team is an implicit compliment. You have a special way of getting nasty. (Only part of that is based on lies and distortions. Part of it seems to be based on a seriously disturbed tendency.) I'm not the only one that does not like it. I know this as a fact. I'm not the only one that laments the insipid drivel that passes for sports talk here. I'm not the only one to choose my right to not post as often as I once did. You said they could get assets for skinner, not me. You insisted on the return for kane would be much higher than I did. I was right in the end. I have my own leaf thread and don't need to interact with anybody. I contribute on here about the league more than just my team and apparently am unappreciated.
