I can see an awful lot of potential in Jackson, but I'm not ready to annoint him as the permanent starter just yet. He's beaten two bad teams. Considering what Cleveland did to Cincy, the Ravens didn't beat them, or Oakland, near bad enough. Jacskon was efficient,

Edwards and Montgomery seem to be an answer for what had been a sagging running game. We'll see how much improved if Joe QB's again because the defense will know he isn't running anywhere.

Once teams have enough game film to develop strategies to stop what the offense can do with Jackson at QB, the challenge becomes learning what those strategies are and being able to beat them.

He's off to a good start though. Yesterday, in his second start, he threw the ball more often, in all ranges, with pretty good accuracy. That's a positive step over his first week. The trick now is to continue to improve and learn.

But is he the Ravens best option with Flacco healthy? I'm not ready to say that just yet. Especially if the running game, without Jackson at QB, is as improved as I hope it is.

  4. Let me know when you get to Youngstown and we can talk face to face about any subject you like you fucking fraud.

Nobody here said Lamar would go to the hall of fame but only and idiot would claim he was a bust after two starts.

You're the same moron that called Baker Mayfield a bust before he ever played a down in the NFL.

You are so football stupid it's amazing they even let you post on this site.

Your worthless opinions are all over the Browns board for anyone to read.

    You have zero credibility.

You're a nobody pretending to be somebody.

Come see me jackass. Any day, anytime.

  5. To be fair, he's not an NFL QB...yet. I do feel the same way though about fans here already anointing him the messiah saying he's more successful as Joe or he's somehow Steve Young incarnate. Do you all actually read what you write?

LOL! LJ is NOT efficient. He's efficient like a one bedroom apartment is a described as "cozy." Let's keep it in perspective:
    1) He's had 2 games vs very bad defenses.
    2) Oakland has a good passing D which is why he struggled in the passing game a bit, and the WORST run defense which is why Lamar did what Lamar does best - run.
    3) He now has more rushing yards than any QB in his first game and first 2 games combined. I don't think that makes him a good QB. Fun to watch, maybe, but defenses will get wise to him and put him on a stretcher.
    4) That fact does not make him a passing QB in this league. He has one pass that connected for about 25 yards minus the YAC.
    5) The defense and S/T padded the score and kept Oakland at bay as much as the offense. If Oakland was even a little better (like still having Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack) it may have been a very different game. If the Ravens make the play-offs I know they not going to get the credit they deserve because everyone will be busying saying it was LJ.

Does Lamar open the run game? Sure, because he is a running threat more than a passing one. Baltimore has been one-dimensional before and it suffered. Lamar is right now is more unpredictable than good, and that will only last for so long. Is he like Steve Young like someone pointed out? Hell no. Steve Young didn't run this much and was a better passer.

Will he get better? Perhaps. I'm still reserving judgement long term. Anointing him the purple messiah now is way premature.

Can you link who called him the messiah? Or Steve Young incarnate? Or any of that? You said you don't make stuff up so I'm guessing I missed these statements

I know that won't get a real answer, so how about this? What is the obsession with hating on a rookie QB for not being some elite passer in his second start? Do you remember Joe's first two starts? Do you remember that he had 1 passing TD and 7 INTs in his first 5 starts? You definitely were all about giving him time to adjust, we all were, so why don't you give Lamar the same time?

  8. Nobody wants to go to that washed up run down city of Ytown....what’s your credibility that u hang your hat on? Jimmy Tressel? Bernie Kosar? I forgot more football than u know and I’m willing to bet on that...I’m the fraud but u come on here talking a big game....I have seen enough of Lamar(college) to know he won’t be a franchise QB cause he lacks NFL QB skills...he’s a great athlete that can make the HR play but over time won’t last long in the NFL...as far as Mayfield...I will say again a better version of Doug Flutie....the Browns have played the worst 4 defenses(TB, KC, Atl and Cincy) in the NFL over the last 5 weeks..the only good defense(Pitt)they faced Baker looked awful and completely lost....time will tell

  9. Pussies like you don't last 15 minutes in the YO.

You want to bet on something? You and me for three 5 minute rounds in the octagon. You choose the venue loudmouth. Name the amount and I'll match it.

I'm not dragging your bullshit takes from the Browns board to here but you are wrong constantly fake coach.

You don't know shit about football and no one believes the lies you tell.

You're a Steelers fan pretending to be a Browns fan. That makes you a piece of shit and a troll.

The offer stands forever. Anytime, any place.

Don’t stick showstopper on the Steelers, he’s a Browns fan. His best friend went to FSU so he is a diehard FSU fan. If there was a NFL team that had all FSU players he would be their number one fan even though they would suck.

He's no Browns fan. You guys and the Ravens own him now that he was banned from the Browns' board. Bon Appetit'.
