After a fine afternoon feasting on Buffalo Sabres hockey, I'm enjoying an evening of NCAA action. The Providence Friars (with Jacob Bryson on D - another Sabres prospect that sports the C) at the University of Denver Pioneers. It's 0-0 a minute into the second stanza.

damn straight. my asshole brother said firing the coach would've been better. team hasn't won a playoff game in 5+ years. team is near the bottom of the standings. farm is loaded with mediocre talent. 4th line is the worst in the league. goalie situation is terrible. this is all on the gm. he had to go. he saved the team from holmgren's mess 5 freaking years ago. what has he done recently? fucking zilch!

 

If their intention was to fire Ron, it would make no sense to fire the coach(s) at this point but make no mistake, they are gone.
