It it's the coaching telling Jackson not to run at all, then they all need to go. They are handcuffing the kid
This whole thing is a mess. I dont see any real progression, its almost like they need an on offseason and fresh eyes to just make some basic adjustments to what they already have. It wouldnt even take much to pass on the audibles or options. Our D is being carried by our Corners so fucking hard, which hasnt been the case if a decade? Our front 7 is pathetic. WR's cant play to the down and distance still which boggles the mind. 2k
Yeah you can't watch this defense and tell me it passes the eye test. As the rest of the season progresses, we're going to see the rankings continue to drop. I'm sure Jackson is focused on not running which is stupid because it's what makes him tough to defend.
The corners are absolutely carrying the entire defense. The play calling has been trash. Idk why we were forcing passes. And you can just tell they pounded "don't run" into Jackson's head.
They are utter idiots. He shouldnt run that much but he should be in that 10-15 range with most of those being runs to the outside so he avoids hits. Also that was an unfortunate interception 2k
The gameplan this week was to call a lot of pass plays and to not use your dual threat QB as a dual threat. Just keep him in the pocket and call deep routes for likely the slowest Ravens WR in two decades
Wow, so if you can run plays, and let the QB use his natural talents, against a team with a bad run defense, you can score TDs. Shocking
Good shit, its almost like they should have done that since the start. Jackson is not, and may never be a great pocket passer, but he doesnt have to be, he has to keep them honest and just a step behind. 2k
Edwards is one of those backs that can have 2-3 years of great production but boy oh boy is there gonna be some wear and tear on him. Very decisive, old school. 2k
So the lesson here is, if you let the rookie play his game without restriction, and call a decent set of plays, you can move up and down the field and score
There hasn't been much Snead today. I wonder if he got put in the doghouse for blowing up last week. I'm not even sure how much he's been on the field
Time to kill the clock. Joe is the better passer right now, but LJ and this run game provide the better opportunity to keep great opposing offenses (like KC) off the field while still scoring points. Of course all that will be determined by the play calling.....
