I hope that Matty is enjoying the Thanksgiving season with his lovely family. Hopefully he'll have time to stop by and say hello one of these days.

 

Don't discount young Rasmus Dahlin. He's made a huge difference. Jack gets a lot of credit for truly taking a leadership role.

Skinner helps too; Sheary too. Ironically, it probably helps that ROR wears a Blues sweater.

 

Detroit fans travel better than any team I know (and I've pretty much seen them all). It's crazy how many red sweaters you see when the Wings are in town.

The big difference for the Toronto games in Buffalo is that Leafs fans can drive to the game after getting out of work.

 

A lot of the leaf fans aren't coming from toronto. A lot of them are just 10 minutes away in fort erie, or half an hour in niagara falls, st.catherines, kitchener or hamilton.

Pens fans are only a 4 hr drive and the wings are 5 hours away.

 

Yes, you could have amazing talent and still miss out on the playoffs A good goalie will push you over the top.

 

I always thought it was a toss up with Hawks fans.

Yeah, if I weren't a Sabres fan and wanted to pick a team I'd probably go with Detroit for the reasons you cite. Plus the winged wheel is iconic.

He may enable GM Botterill to save his trade bait by not needing to go out and get a guy like Tyson Barrie.

I went to bat for rediiis after the MNF game (on the Bears’ board) and ended up banned from the Bears boards... ALL OF THEM! Seriously, those whiniy little cunts ... be careful not to disparage that specific fan base for their own actions, or they’ll run and tell Tim.. or mother hen over there.

Red was jawing, Bearsville didn’t diggit, someone threatened to report him to Bears fan/moderator, etc. red said “fuck it” and bailed. Next day I went in to bat for rediiis and was promptly shredded. It got personal with a couple of their posters and then dline (my phone wants to autcorrext to “slime” when I type that... maybe it knows something I don’t) chimes in ... late as usual with his finger wagging and input, and today I noticed I’m “banned from Bearsville”. That is some Nellie-assed shit.
