Guess I'm just tired of the same old same old I want a SB victory I hope in the draft they target a rb somebody they can depend on,Kirk Cousins got me a little worried saw it with the Packers and the Jets and the Saints last night.. batted balls pressure on the qb not a good look for the 84 million dollar man yeah I'm a little frustrated
I've been kinda sour on Dalvin Cook but when he plays he makes the offense look more dynamic, something the Vikings been missing a threatening running game attack
Vikings claim Ameer Abdullah... Ameer Abdullah won’t be leaving the NFC North after being waived by the Lions on Tuesday. According to multiple reports, the running back has been claimed by the Vikings. There’s no word on a corresponding move in Minnesota. Abdullah had a lead role with the Lions when healthy over the last three seasons, but fell out of favor after the team added Kerryon Johnson and LeGarrette Blount this year. There was some question about whether he’d make the team out of camp and he barely played once the season did get underway. The Vikings got running back Dalvin Cook back last Sunday after he missed several games with a hamstring injury. They also have Latavius Murray and rookies Mike Boone and Roc Thomas, although Thomas has been down with a hamstring issue of his own recently. (NBC's PFT)
I'm so disgusted at the effort this was for first place Mack made Riley Reiff ( sp )look like WTF are you doing out here, every year it's the same old same old Vikings are good just not good enough Zimmer looked lost and cold IMO,this is just my opinion some changes has to be made Bears were ready to fight... the Vikings acted like they don't know what the hell is going on and who's in charge here?
The Wilfs have spent money US Bank Staduim,TCO it's awesome the soccer stadium it's got a weird name looks like a space ship, how come TRICKY RICKY and Zimmer can't get this O-line together the HC has done a real good job on the defense,IMO the Wilfs when comes to the money they spent on the Vikings it just seems like they ain't got there money worth
I hear and understand your frustration. DiPietro is young and has had a lot of juggling to do, but the offensive line is always been a concern this season. The biggest and key factor to me tho has been the run game. Cousins has been asked to do too much game in and game out because the Vikings are so lopsided on the offensive side of the ball. They must get a star, premium RB in the draft or a FA if there is one and solidify that position. Until the do so, they will be a team in disarray.
Yes they seem to be in disarray like a chicken with it's head cut off they need a stud O-lineman and i agree 100% they need to find a rb they can depend on
Ya, they keep doing the plug-n-play with the offensive line, that needs to stop, but injuries are a factor in which there is no governing. Pick up a RB and a OL in the draft, should be top targets.
Mike Zimmer: We have to keep at it in the running game... The Vikings rank 31st in the league with 84.7 rushing yards per game this season and that figure was not helped by last week’s outing against the Bears. The Vikings picked up just 22 rushing yards in the 25-20 loss, but head coach Mike Zimmer’s response to that isn’t to try to move the ball through the air more often. Zimmer wants to see the Vikings show more commitment to the running game after offensive coordinator John DeFilippo called just 14 rushing plays in Chicago. “I do think there’s times we need to stick with it a little bit more,” Zimmer said, via the Pioneer Press. “You’ve got to keep at it.” The Vikings are averaging 21.1 rushing attempts per game, which leaves them 30th in the league with 211 total attempts. Both are down sharply from last year even though their average per attempt is up, which might help make Zimmer’s case that the team has been too quick to get away from the ground game in 2018. (PFT)
To much inconsistency up two or three weeks then lose games important games the Saints game comes to mind and Bears game and the L.A. Rams time to get back to the basics, and stop beating yourself it's tough to watch
It's starting to like another Tricky Ricky boneheaded move the 84 million mistake he's throwing picks that are run back for a touchdowns not what i thought when the Vikings signed him making bad throws holds on to ball takes sacks when he should have thrown it away...Cap. Kirk is not all that, the playoffs is in his hands ( sigh )
Kirk Cousins on poor prime time record: I don’t treat those games any differently... The Vikings will play the Packers on Sunday night and they hope the result is the end to a losing streak. Minnesota has played three games in prime time this season and they’ve lost all three of them, including last Sunday’s 25-20 loss to the Bears. The Vikings also lost to the Rams and Saints in prime time games and quarterback Kirk Cousins pointed to the quality of competition as the reason for the losses rather than anything the Vikings are doing differently. “We got flexed to that prime-time [game] last week because we were playing a really good football team,” Cousins said, via the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “If either of us weren’t good, I don’t think we would have been flexed. If there’s a difference with prime time, that would be it. I certainly don’t treat them any differently.” Washington was 4-9 in prime time games started by Cousins, but he notes that tying records to individual players “gets a little bit convoluted” by pointing out that he didn’t play all that well in a win last Thanksgiving. Whatever changes need to be made, this weekend would be a good time for Cousins and the rest of the Vikings to solve their issues winning at night. (PFT)
Cousins always plays great once your teams chances of making the playoffs is almost over. It’s like he can only play good enough to earn his contract when there’s nothing on the line.
