I remember years ago the Saints went to Indy just after Payton Manning left there. That team was a mess. The Saints had over 30 points at half time. Brees threw the ball once the entire second half and they still scored 17 points. What do you do ???

 

Sorry SoCal, but there is something wrong here...

The Saints only played in Indy once since Manning left for Denver in 2012, and that was in 2015 which the Saints won 27-21.

I believe the game you refer to was in New Orleans on October 23, 2011 while Manning was on IR for the season and didn't play.

The Saints led 34-7 at halftime and won 62-7

 

I stand corrected. But yes. That was the game I was thinking about. The details get fuzzy sometimes.

I/we were all at CBS at the time. And that crowd raised all holy hell about that game. What do we do ?? Punt on third down !!!!

Yeah, they went practically completely to a run game and the Colts didn't tackle. One long TD run after another.

I remember the next home game, there was a huge banner that read:

"Mercedes Benz Superdome, where it goes from 0 to 60 in 4 quarters"

I'm pushing 70 now.
