Now that you've jinxed it, they'll both pull out the DEF and wind up with a 10-7 score or something like that.

Those are two really exciting teams. No defense to speak of, but a thrill ride all the way. I have Gurley in my fantasy league, and he came up small in a game with 100 points scored. Didn't need it though, so whatever.

I hate to mention it... Andy Reid Decembers are always disappointing, but I think the team is too talented to fall prey to his bad mojo after Thanksgiving. Still he does have a rep for folding late in the year. Kinda like Shottenhiemer's curse in the playoffs.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'll be out of touch til Friday. Travel safe, eat, drink, and laugh too much, and be thankful for all of those you care about.

Probably won't be on here much Thursday through Sunday. Just want to wish everybody a safe and happy Thanksgiving with all your family and friends.

Hopefully we'll have a victory over the Bungles to celebrate on Sunday.:rally:

Ex-Cardinals coach Bruce Arians reiterated that the Browns are the only team he'd considered coaching.

"I would listen to the Browns," said Arians in an interview with NFL.com. "And only them." It's probably a long shot as Arians said his chances of landing an interview with Cleveland this offseason are about "one percent." Arians retired from coaching this offseason following a five-year stint as the Cardinals' head honcho. He has a history with Cleveland, having coordinated their offense from 2001-03. In the unlikely event that Arians does wind up as the Browns' next head coach, the 66-year-old said he would retain Freddie Kitchens as the team's offensive coordinator and would also give thought to keeping Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator.

Happy Thirsty Thursday Fellow Lounge Houndz!

Been out on safari this past month, and yes it was successful(see AV)!:max:

    AMEN!

It is a refreshing change to be talking about the next game and not next season already.

The TEAM is really starting to blossom. I like the fact that Kitchens is an unproven OC with a chance to shine and man is it working so far. Dorsey drafted the right Chubb for this team. That catch he made for a TD last week was awesome. Mayfield is only going to get better. Dang that kid is exciting to watch. I love the aggressiveness of the defense. The defense is second in the league in takeaways. There is room for improvement in the 3 and out department. I agree that they still need to hone that “Killer” instinct.

Given the way this team is playing and AS they continue to play this way; I’m all for giving the reigns to Williams as the HC and keep Kitchens as the OC moving forward. Promote from within for the DC and Assistant HC.

It is so glaringly obvious (especially for a guy who has been on safari for the last month) how toxic the relationship between Jackson and Hailey was. The more tidbits of news I catch up on the more respect I have for Haslam for jettisoning them both. The proof is in the W column.:bravo:

Time to make a run at the playoffs and play spoiler for any “bubble” team along the way. :chuks:

Anyone think Josh Gordon would have made a difference, not the Josh Gordon of yor, but this year's model?

I have defended Josh many times from the standpoint he was made an example of, by the NFL. I still believe a stronger franchise would have minimized his suspensions, but with a greenhorn owner, no clout, and a generally weak organization, simply didn't have the chops to fight the NFL.

Still Josh was an idiot. Lot's of idiots out there. Josh was not hurting others, vs some of the other behaviors we've seen players get through with a lot less damage visited on their careers by the NFL.

I am happy he's found a way to stay on the field this year. For me it re-enforces the failure of the Browns to demand his total commitment. In Cleveland he was given too much "hero" status (unearned) by an idiotic, desperate coach, who's fear of losing this year clearly made him weak, and allowed Josh too much slack. Belichek doesn't tolerate half heartedness, and I think, to Josh's credit, he got the message.

His impact in NE is marginal, possibly in part due to the "ankle tweak" that led to his dissmisal, but none the less he is but a part of a very good NE team. That is exactly the kind of situation he needed to be in. Not the focal point, but a contributor. The spotlight has been turned way down, and I think it has been good for him.

I will continue to cheer for him to carry his career and his life forward. The demons may not be gone, but he may have finally learned to tame them enough to keep playing.

If he can complete the year, he may regain some of the "Flash", once his ankle is allowed to heal. I don't expect to see the Josh of 5 years ago, but I do think there's more than we've seen this year.

Still, given the ankle tweak, and the sideshow, I don't think "Josh in Cleveland" was going to work, as much because of Josh, as because of the Brown's failure to set the right expectations.

That's my take. I wish him well, as much as it would pain me to see Belichek get yet another ring, I would be happy for Josh.
