I get it now, Tim and others have had positive interactions with this poster before. My perspective is he came on here, a fan of a team not involved talking a little smack, and people did overreact at that provocation, but nothing that big, some barbs were shared. Honestly, knowing nothing about him, he didn't start with something insightful or football related, he dropped a go vikes and fantasy is more important than games, neither of which will sit well here. If he wanted to come to the Bears den and have an actual discussion, he could have gone about it any of a million better ways.

I'd be sad if this caused someone to leave, but this is about as tame as it gets here. If I went to the Steelers board, with a bunch of dudes who never seen me before as a Bears fan and I dropped a "Go Ravens" does anyone think that would go over well? Fucking hell. I'm really impressed with the level of maturity and understanding from you Bears dudes. No one is throwing the blame around and the tone has been very civil and unassuming. I'm sure that rediis will take a look at his own part in this and understand that when emotions run high, hasty and regrettable decisions can be made. He's not a bad guy, that much I know. He's been playing on my Pick Contest for years now and I've never had a problem with him. I had no idea that he would react the way he did and I'm sorry that he did but again ... that's his business and not mine. You can't assume responsibility for other people's reactions or their opinions. That's their business. The only thing you can govern are your own actions and opinions.

This might surprise you, but I'm pretty sure 99% of the posters here could give a fuck how we're perceived "site-wide". We come here to read and talk Bears football built from the solid community CBS pissed away.

If you were ever to gain some football knowledge and contribute something meaningful to the discussion, you'd be welcome here as would anyone. But fair warning, it'd have to be something relevant to the Bears (and accurate) for us to care. You've yet to do that, that I've seen.

I was proud. Even though I’m in Maryland.

But a win against the Lions and Vikings....at this rate I’m going to get lucky with the wife very soon!

That may or not be true and I couldn't give a fuck. I know we are hyper-critical, hyper-passionate and hyper-intelligent. I myself come here to read the insightful hyper-intelligent remarks about a team we are hyper-passionate about. So while the rest of the league is worried about how sensitive we are over here we'll be here being hyper-critical of Chicago Bears football.
