No more bitching about Sims this season as he is headed for IR after another concussion. The highly anticipated return of second round pick Adam Shaheen is something to look forward too. I don’t think Shaheen will have as big an impact as some may think but should be an upgrade over Sims.
You know I was because I could never get me enough of some Kellen Davis or some J'Mucus Webb for that matter.
Christmas has come early. Not so much for Shaheen though I want to see what he can do, but for the retirement of Sims
Thats rough for Sims, severe concussion is a bad reason to go on IR. Assuming the severity was the reason and its not just an excuse to swap TE's without affecting the rest of the roster. Either way, like rob, i don't see Shaheen making much impact at all. It will be mildly interesting to see how they play him i guess. But mostly this move is good because of the addition by subtraction of Sims. Hopefully its last we see of Sims and he can join the likes of Matt Spieth and Brandon Manumaleauaeaueaeuna on the list of totally bust FA TE signings.
Trubisky likes throwing to Shaheen so I think he could get some decent looks down the stretch of the season...I don't expect much from him tonight.
