Larry Fitzgerald now second on all-time receiving list... Larry Fitzgerald's illustrious NFL career has a new claim to fame: second most receiving yards in NFL history. The ultra-reliable Fitzgerald passed Terrell Owens for second on the career list Sunday with a 15-yard reception late in the fourth quarter of Arizona's 26-14 loss to Kansas City. The catch put him at 15,939 yards for his 15-year career, and after finishing with six grabs for 50 yards Sunday, he stands at 15,952. Fitzgerald has been with the Cardinals through the bad and the good, serving as a foundational piece since Arizona selected him third overall out of Pittsburgh in 2004. He's posted nine 1,000-yard seasons, was a leading force in the Cardinals team that fell just shy of winning Super Bowl XLIII and has been the model star player any and every team would want when spending a first-round pick. As faces have changed, the one constant in the desert has been Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, a surefire Hall of Famer, has flirted with retirement in recent years and is still 6,000 yards off the all-time leader, Jerry Rice, whose 22,895 yards still appears unreachable. But second place is damn good for the 11-time Pro Bowl receiver. (NFL.com)
Rams defense forces a fumble from Wilson, a couple plays later and the Rams take it in (Cooks). 36-24, Rams, 4th.
Russell Wilson needs to be in a different environment before we see his career destroyed by Carroll through either injuries or failure to build an offense around him.
Rams pretty much lock up the division. 1st team you can really say that about. The wildcard race is crazy though and will continue to be so regardless of the result tonight.
Chargers are 7-2 and have to play KC again (on a Thursday night). They also would own the tibreaker if the Chargers win that game and they both win the rest.
Eagles may be inclined to get Schwartz to find a HC gig elsewhere. The D has been pretty bad since the SB. Eagles are on their last legs now. They need Washington to slip and beat the Rams or Saints. Too many injuries and too many stupid play calls, mainly on D. No RB to help the offense stay honest or be creative.
Leave it to the Cowboys to lose to Tennessee at home on Monday night and beat the Eagles on the road on Sunday night. With everyone ready to bury them, the Cowboys pulled off an upset that saved their season for at least another week. They beat the defending Super Bowl champions 27-20. The winner was Washington, which is sitting pretty at the top of the NFC East with a 6-3 record. The Cowboys and Eagles both are 4-5. (PFT)
Initial concern is Cooper Kupp suffered torn ACL... The Rams are back on the winning side of things after a thrilling contest at the L.A. Coliseum -- but it came at a price. Rams receiver Cooper Kupp's outlook isn't bright after he went down with a knee injury in the second half of Los Angeles' 36-31 win over the Seattle Seahawks. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the initial concern is Kupp suffered a torn ACL, according to a source informed of the situation. "Yeah, I don't think it's very good," Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters following the game. Kupp will undergo an MRI Monday to determine a clear diagnosis of his injury, Rapoport added. (NFL.com)
