Ravens vs. Steelers, Part Deux: Gameday thread & Harbaugh on the hot seat

I don't blame Joe for the Crabtree drop. The pass could have been better sure, but that's a ball smack dab in both hands of a WR. That's what the general problem is - there's not 1 thing wrong. It's always a mix of a bunch of crap.

 

I give Joe 70% of that blame. That wasn't a tight window pass, and I don't recall him being under pressure (I could be wrong on that). Crabtree ran a great route and was simply wide open. It wasn't even a long pass. You don't make a WR have to stretch out in that situation.

Crabtree does deserve some blame as he had both hands on it. But I can't give him the brunt of it when he had to lay out completely with arms stretched wide even though he got himself open quickly.

 

Harbaugh deserves blame for these Lamar plays at this point, as does Marty. It's week 9. If they aren't going to let him pass it then don't keep calling so many of these plays. Even the announcers can see the Steelers don't respect the pass since he almost never throws

If the Ravens don't win this game, I think it will be end of the line for Harbaugh. The offense is stagnant and the defense is getting beat with the run & pass.

 

It is sad and i hope we still win because losing always sucks but we need a breath of fresh air

Fuck it, I'm piling on. He had a wide open Buck Allen also but once again locked in on his first read. Thankfully we scored anyway with the assistance of a Steelers mistake

 

See, that's the kind of stuff I out on Harbaugh. 2nd and 27 and we do a RB screen. A play that damn never gets big yardage for Baltimore. That's the Harbaugh bs I hate. So many teams in the league at least try something intermediate or deep. Not us.

I can't believe they haven't exploited Averett especially when he was on AB. I'm glad they haven't, but I'm surprised.

Well played by PIT, solid gameplan. there were some solid performances by our guys but overall just not good enough

Pittsburgh ran that crossing rub/pick route all game long and the defense fell for it all game long. That was amazing to see

 

You might as well just put in Jackson after the bye week and give him experience. I'm not blaming Flacco like some for all of this garbage, but just get the young guys experience.

 

The defense hasn't showed up to the field for about a month now. When was the last turnover they created?

 

He isnt responsible for ALL the garbage, from game to game over the last few weeks different players and units have sucked. But Flacco consistently under-performs and shows little to no progression with issues he has had since he entered the league. Harb shares a lot of the blame, as does the OC, as does the O line at times, and the lack of pass rush. But in a league where the QB is so important he inherently gets more blame.

Joe definitely isn't responsible for all of the issues this team has, but here's what I saw today. In a game that we lost by 7, I saw him miss a wide open Jackson for a TD but he locked into his first read and we ended up settling for a FG. I saw him throw a bad pass to Crabtree on another drive that should have been an easy TD throw, and we settled for another FG. That's 8 points in a 7 point loss.

The defense was not up to Ravens standard, but the sad fact is, all defenses are set up to fail. All offenses are set up to succeed. So why doesn't ours? Rookie QBs are doing better than ours. Rookie RBs are doing better than ours.

This offense needs a reset
