I've only been here a few months and it's not a permanent move...originally from the Chicago area but spent the past few years living in Colorado in our chosen retirement spot.

Autumn in middle Tennessee is some of the best weather I've ever seen....crisp at night but sunny and warm during the day...I could definitely get used to this.

 

i live outside of philly so fall and the leave changes are nice to see. i went to college in the west suburbs of chicago, so it was nice there too until winter hit. then it sucked.

Oh good. Because the last 5,169 times you did it....I got better each time.

 

It is pretty. I love snow and I love tramping around in the forests around my place and on my place. I love the cold air biting at my face and the sound of my skis swishing through the powder.

What I don't like is driving in it .... This is where I went off the road one night coming home from yoga class. All of a sudden my car shifted sideways but I didn't know what to do so I kept driving about 50 feet before I yanked the steering wheel to get back out of the ditch. It doesn't look deep in this picture but I felt like I was driving on my side.

 

Maybe you ARE invincible you shmuck!!

Ha. When my husband has too much to drink and I have to drive him home he always says that it's the fastest way of sobering up that he knows of ...

 

And also ... there are a LOT of ditches around here. I think it's a bit unusual myself.

i don't like driving in the snow. i avoid it at all cost.

 

Well that video doesn't want to upload. I would say that was one of my scariest drives home. Another time I went through a white out and went too far over to the side of the road and my car went flip and slid down an embankment into some really deep snow at the bottom. I had a hell of a time climbing out of that hole and all of this after a very strenuous yoga class!!

 

I can't avoid it. I live in the middle of a gigantic mess of snow. LOL
