And USA Today gives the Browns their highest power ranking this week. The other 3 or 4 I've looked at have the Browns somewhere around18-20.

    16. Cleveland Browns
    Record: 2-2-1
    Result: 12-9 W vs. BAL

No matter how well the offense plays going forward, the Browns defense is going to be good enough to keep this team around .500 all season. If Baker Mayfield continues to improve, a Wild Card push is not out of the question.

#Browns[IMG] CB Denzel Ward has been talking to fellow Ohio State product and #Saints CB Marshon Lattimore about the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Lattimore won it last year and has told Ward he should win it this year.

A vote of confidence for Hue, from an AFCS scout...

The Browns, yes, the Browns, have caught the league's attention

An AFC South scout told me just about all you need to know about the somewhat resurgent Cleveland Browns: "I have rarely seen a team turn it around so quickly after being bad for so long. They finally have playmakers like Baker [Mayfield], but that defense is full of them. They've changed the entire culture there overnight. It's something we haven't really seen in this league for a long time."

The scout added something else, which isn't quite so obvious: "Hue Jackson was the right man for the Browns job. It was smart to keep him. His patience and ability to keep the locker room from falling apart during all of the losing was key. If I was the Browns I'd sign him to a long-term extension right now."

DISCLAIMER: Trigger warning for those who struggle with statistics and mathematics and dismiss them as "crap".

I'm excited too, but taking the division.......?
Yes. It could happen, but can we string two together before we start talking division?

If Bake can cook the Chargers and Phillip Rivers, I'll be impressed. Playing at home makes that feel more than possible, but thats why they play the games.

    Go Browns

Not holding, just exhibiting a real life demonstration of Newton's second law (pertaining to the behavior of objects in which for which all existing forces are not balanced).

    It's a science lesson.

    From PFF:

Cleveland Browns: Cornerback Denzel Ward has allowed an average of 0.92 yards per coverage snap. Since 2006, this is the second-best mark for a rookie outside cornerback after Week 5. He’s done this despite being tied for the second-most targeted cornerback this year.

*GASP!* You posted something from PFF without a disclaimer?!

You know someone's weeping like a child in their mother's basement right now having stumbled upon that.

Quarterbacks under pressure. We see you, #6...

    BTW... 1.6?!

    Josh Allen is terrible.

He may be but he has the most wins of a rookie QB. Tied with Mayfield and Darnold

Vince Young had plenty of wins but had the processing ability of an Intellivision with JV mechanics.

Allen plays on a team that went 9-7 and made the playoffs last season.

Darnold plays for a team that went 5-11 and picked #6 overall.

Mayfield plays on a team that went 0-16 for just the second time in NFL history.

    They all have two wins.

Buffalo has the worst roster right now. So Allen is doing more amazing.
