    Just my opinion . . .

Not really. Hyde and Chubb can split carries and Duke can play in the slot.

    The Good: we won.
    The D was awesome
    Special teams did their job

The Bad: Our kicker is a heartattack, but winning is still winning.
Penalties, really we can't get under ten penalties?
Jarvis go out of bounds, for God's sake

The Ugly: That last kick for the win. God only knows or allows that to go through.
Officiating - I guess "beheading" is legal on guys wearing orange and brown.

Anyone else notice that they stopped calling anything after than horrendous hit on Landry?

I'm not usually one who bitches about the officials, but . . .

Its virtually statistically impossible, given the number of flags thrown league wide this year, for one team to go 55 minutes into a game without a single penalty.

It's okay. The NFL officiating is atrocious this year....Yesterday, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who is on the NFL's competition committee, said of the officiating; "It's a joke.".....That pretty much sums it up, though I'm sure he will get fined for saying it.

    Week 5: Baltimore

    The Good
    • Denzel Ward. This guy has done more in five games to cement defensive rookie of the year accolades than previous winners. He's on pace for 10 interceptions, 19 passes defensed, 51 solo tackles, 3 forced fumbles. He saved this game from going south with the huge redzone interception. The list of folks who think the Browns made a mistake passing on Bradley Chubb is down to a few hangers-on.
    • The defense. Damarious Randall is playing at an All-Pro level. Myles Garrett lead the league in sacks (until J.J. got one last night). Sure, they're hemorrhaging yards right now but they're coming up with big plays and big stops. Now, I don't necessarily agree that this is a sustainable method of winning - especially in the post-season - but they kept us in that game yesterday and have been a big reason for all the success this season.

    • Winning. Seriously... after being 5-43 for three seasons, we've already got two wins this year. It was the first win on a Sunday in over 1,000 days. Yes, it should be four wins, but it's trending in the right direction finally. What's even better is that it builds momentum and confidence. The Ravens were a Top 10 offense and Top 5 defense heading into that game - one of the guys on the broadcast argued they were the best team in the AFC. It took an overtime and a ugly kick, but the Browns won.
    The Bad
    • The referees. Screwed yet again. The reason it's not in the "ugly" is because at least this time, it didn't cost the Browns the game. This is the worst season I can recall and easily the worst-officiated against Cleveland. The league office said the tackle on Landry was a "judgement call". Seriously?

    • Narrow games. Glass half-full, this team is able to compete with just about anyone. On the flip side, the outcome of the Browns' five games have now been determined by 13 points. It would be nice to put someone away. There were a ton of close games yesterday, but also a couple beatings (Pittsburgh +24, New York +18, and Kansas City +16 to name a few).

    • Offensive line. The offensive line looked like they were on skates. Somehow, this team is still a top rushing offense and that's not really a credit to the offensive line at all. And worse still, it's not the undrafted free agent rookie left tackle who had a tough matchup against Suggs yesterday. This unit has tons of talent, so we need them to get a real kick in the pants to get going.
    The Ugly
    • Greg Joseph. Sure, he won the game for us but that kick was ugly and was paired with two other misses in the game. Thanks, Greg... but I don't have a ton of faith each time that unit lines up.

    • Special Teams. Still showing up in the "ugly" column, despite the win and improvement on that side. This area of the team is still lagging and still very much a liability. Everyone outside of Britton Colquitt shouldn't feel safe today.

    • Completion percentage. I didn't see a ton of drops, but the completion percentage still isn't there. Baker's one of only four QBs still completing less than 60-percent of his passes (league average this season is 65.0%). More specifically... Landry caught 50.0% of his targets, Njoku caught 54.5% of his targets, Callaway caught 60.0% of his targets, and WR1 - Rashard Higgins - caught 75.0% of his targets but left with injury and we don't know the severity. This needs to improve across the board.

Maybe he was doing the 2-2-1 thing?

  17. TopDawg Legend

I wish... No, he was waiving the celebrating players off the field. smh...I mean, he really didn't know that that kick was a game winner. lol!

    That just

I'm giving him a pass this week for two reasons: (1) we won, and (2) Jason Garrett.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if we are looking at more kickers this week...It was revealed that Tony Jefferson got a hand on that kick, which is why it barely knuckled in...When the Browns signed this kicker, they said they love the height he gets on his kicks. It sure didn't show up yesterday.

Dude had a chance from 55 at the end of regulation and sailed it 20 yards wide left. It would have missed from any distance....
