Babyfan's 10th Annual Pick'Ems Contest

That was my early thoughts on it as well, but what's happening in KC right now reminds me of their run in 2003 where they were putting their boot heels on throats right up until they played a Bengals team featuring Jon Kitna that they rolled into Cincinnati on four flats for.

Right now I could see them following the same trend and losing a trap game to Arizona right before they play the Rams on Monday night in Mexico. It's the perfect dead point in the schedule. The Monday night Mexican brawl against a really good team to measure their growth against is followed by their bye week (a late one) and unless Arizona starts to look like a professional football team by week 10 it sets up an emotionless contest that is easy for a hot team to look past.

The one saving grace for them on that game is that it's at home. A lot could change between now and then, but if the situation is similar to the present it would absolutely get my nod as the potential upset of the year if it were to be played in Arizona.
