HAHA, the fan shop wouldn't let me finish the name in the "custom shop". That's the best I could do on short time and short sleep. It isn't "fake news", it's my suggestion. The 49ers season is lost unless they trade for a QB or sign Colin Kaepernick, something we both know isn't going to happen. C.J. Beathard has already proven his non-worth, they need someone else regardless, as they only had (2) QBs on the roster. Their practice squad QB is Nick Mullens (edit spelling), if you had a little voice go off in your head that said "WHO?"...yeah that pretty much sums up the current 49ers QB situation. Other than Kaep and trading, the 49ers have Matt Moore and/or talking someone like Jay Cutler out of retirement.... They also have the following sitting at home or playing in the CFL: Derek Anderson Johnny Manziel Mark Sanchez Ryan Mallet Scott Tolzien Kellen Clemons The other teams with (3) QBs rostered: NFC: Cowboys; Cooper Rush, Mike White Giants; Kyle Lauletta, Alex Tanney Eagles; Nick Foles, Nate Sudfield Bears; (PS) Tyler Bray Lions; (PS) Jake Rudock Packers; DeShone Kizer, Tim Boyle Vikings; Trevor Simien, Kyle Sloter Falcons; (PS) Kurt Benkert Panthers; (PS) Connor Cook Saints; Teddy Bridgewater, Taysom Hill, (PS) J.T. Barrett Buccaneers; This could be interesting.. Ryan Fitzmagic, Coming off susp. Jameis Winston, Ryan Griffin Cardinals; Sam Bradford (turned to Rosen yesterday), Mike Glennon, (PS) Chad Kanoff Rams; (PS) Brandon Allen Seahawks; (PS) Alex McGough AFC: Dolphins; David Fales, Brock Osweiler, Luke Falk (yes they are all rostered, Dolphins carry 4 QBs on 53) Patriots; (PS) Eanny Etling Jets; (PS) Davis Webb Ravens; Robert Griffin III, Lamar Jackson Bengals; (PS) Christian Hackenberg Steelers; Joshua Dobbs, Mason Rudolph Texans; Joe Webb, Brandon Weeden Colts; (PS) Phillip Walker Jaguars; (PS) Tanner Lee Titans; (PS) Logan Woodside Broncos; Kevin Hogan, Chad Kelly Chiefs; (PS) Chase Litton Chargers; (PS) Cardale Jones So, I don't see a wide range of options for the 49ers if they truly want to attempt to save a season that's only 3 weeks deep... Here are the realistic options: Off the street either talk Jay Cutler out of retirement again or sign Colin Kaepernick (neither of which are high on my list as probable) (Practice Squad)...none Trade (my highest probability for success): Tyrod Taylor (3rd or 4th round pick) Robert Griffin III (3rd or 4th round pick) Nick Foles (2nd or 3rd round pick) Sam Bradford (2nd or 3rd round pick) Joshua Dobbs (5th round pick) Long shot... Jameis Winston if the Buccaneers want to move on from him, which I doubt (1st or 2nd round pick, I honestly don't even know where to begin with the compensation for Winston) So looking at the options, if you were looking to save your season, which looks best? Re-signing Kaepernick whom you exiled to begin with? Nope... Tyrod Taylor just took his team to the playoffs in 2017, but disappointed in 2018 RGIII looked good in pre-season, but ultimately is probably 3rd on the depth chart Nick Foles, reigning SB MVP, but struggled while Wentz was out and the Eagles seem reluctant to part with him Sam Bradford, currently looking worse than even Tyrod Taylor as a starter for the Cardinals The others don't have starting experience, so they are just as much a long shot as C.J. Beathard or.... Johnny Manziel See, why I think Tyrod could be the first call they make today?
Meh... I'll give her credit for the use of teeth, but IMHO she failed to consume the entire can all at once.
Under no scenario are the Steelers trading away their backup QB whom they invested a 4th round pick in just 18 months ago for a 5th. That's an interesting thought.
Anyone else catch that Tampa was trash with Winston under center, and look pretty darn tough with Fitz-magic in there? Anyone, @showstopper?
I don't have a great memory and we haven't had a lot of data lately to test the winning ..so, as of right now, I have to go with losing, just based on the extensive amount of data and extensive amount of alcohol consumed because of losing. I hope to have more data very soon to give you a better answer.
Well, I just figured since they "moved on" by spending a 3rd rounder on Mason Rudolph. I'll up it to a 4th if it makes you feel better. Are they moving on from Ben in 2019? If not, then they don't need all 3..
Steelers easily the most undisciplined team in the NFL. Part of that is the coached cheap shots (the PF penalties are adding up), but they must be going for a record in most penalty yards.
