i think you're blowing it way out of proportion. It's not like he's taking a shit on the US Flag. he, skinny, being a Canadian resident, in jest called the US based teams the enemy. to me any team vs the flyers in the enemy but especially the teams from up North. hell in 1976 when the Flyers played the Soviets-you bet your ass they were the enemy in more ways than one !

if it was a poster we didn't know Will, then maybe you have a point. it's skinny. he's a good guy. he's not a US hater. that's why i think you're wrong here.

don't insult the Phantic like that. he has better tastes. i don't know what mixed with Youppi's sperm could birth that thing ! i mean how much of an idiot can you be to think that is good? they should tear up your MBA for that. my brother in law texted me the photo an hour ago and i already told him there's so much backlash i hope they change it as it's idiotic.

It's tough because I haven't really been following close all year and I'm all hyped up on the leafs season.
Not sure I could sit there for 3 hrs, I could see myself bailing early if it's a snoozer.

Brian Gionta retired from the NHL on Monday after 16 seasons.

Gionta, a former captain of the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres, accepted a role with the Sabres organization.

"I'm announcing my retirement today," Gionta said. "Looking forward to spending more time with my family and also playing a small part with the organization. Looking forward to that next step of my career."

A native of Rochester, New York, who lives in Buffalo, Gionta, 39, was chosen by the New Jersey Devils in the third round (No. 82) of 1998 NHL Draft. He won the Stanley Cup with New Jersey in 2003 and scored 48 goals in 2005-06, breaking the Devils record set by Pat Verbeek (46) in 1987-88.

Gionta spent three seasons with the Sabres (2014-17) and played for the United States at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. He had seven points (two goals, five assists) in 20 regular-season games with the Boston Bruins after signing as a free agent Feb. 25.

Gionta finishes with 595 points (291 goals, 304) in 1,026 NHL games.

"He's somebody I grew up watching and all of a sudden I'm sitting a few stalls away from him my first years in the NHL," Sabres center Jack Eichel told The Buffalo News. "That was cool. It's an unbelievable career and I'm just happy I was able to be a part of it." (NHL.com)
