    Well......

Maybe not the rest of the AFC North.....

    This generation's Manning/Brady.

Clearly, Mahomes can play the Manning role (statistically perfect) whereas Mayfield can play the Brady role (multiple Super Bowls and clutch performances).

As good as Baker Mayfield was for 31 minutes and 42 seconds last Thursday (and he was electrifying), he's still only one player out of 53. So I think its safe to say if anyone saves Hue's job, its John Dorsey.

I agree Lyman 100%, BUT, the Browns were well on their way to 0-2-1 until the Baker show began...The roster hadn't saved his job up to that point in the game where everyone was chanting "Baker Baker Baker", that was a turning point and if it stays on this upward slope, then Hue keeps his job. If it doesn't, then even the great Baker Mayfield won't be able to do that. I give Dorsey credit, because despite NEARLY EVERYONE spouting you can't take a 6'1" QB #1 overall, he took the best player available and never looked back.

I'll give credit where credit due. Baker Mayfield doesn't play defense and Shashi Brown gave us Garrett, Peppers, a multitude of draft picks and cap space. But, John Dorsey retooled the rest of a defense that currently leads the league in turnover margin. And that will give Baker more opportunities to shine.

Sashi gave us seven of 11 starters on defense, including the entire defensive line which - no lie - might be the best one in the NFL and is at least a Top 3 unit.

And yet, it wasn't until #6 got into the game that those other 53 (46, technically) started playing better and went from losing a football game to winning one.

Like I said before, I agree with you Lym. I don't think this team is in position to win without Dorsey taking over. BUT, I think Baker Mayfield will be the ultimate piece that saves Hue's job. This team was on the cusp with Tyrod in there, and they might have scrapped together enough wins for him to stay, but Baker lifts the energy level of all facets of the game. Now, this might have been the electricity in the stadium when he came in, he will need to show that is going to be an every day thing for this team. Some guys have that ability, MOST do not. I think he does and was the catalyst for my endorsement going back to 2017. That was what I saw from him, that I don't see in any of the other QBs in his class. I failed to see it in Mahomes, but that kid is firing on all cylinders so it certainly looks like I was a failure in recognizing him. The last one I actually saw it in was Andrew Luck. Others have abilities to help their teams, but Baker has the ability to lift their team, imho.

Did you see any of Josh Allen's performance on Sunday SAS? The kid took that team on his back and whipped the Vikings in their own building.

Didn’t catch the game. I did see the final score and figured the Browns win on Thursday must have tore a rift in football space time and this weekend’s results are still trying to adjust for it.

^^^That's hilarious....Beach is right though, Josh Allen was no joke. That performance just blew my mind. Dude is an athletic freak, and Vikings defense didn't have an answer. I wonder how many people lost in their Survivor leagues on that one? lol!

Don't defer. Watch for yourself. He put that team on his back. Among those 7 incompletions were 4 drops.

He has a cannon arm, you expect him to have spattered games here and there that make you think.. someday this guy is going to be awesome... Then 3 years go by and all the games in between these anomalies make you wonder what the Bills were thinking drafting him as high as they did. At least that's my opinion. We'll see 3 years from now where we are.
