No, no always. Do some research. Medicare covers all pre-existing conditions. But other insurances don't always...even under the ACA.

Thankfully this is a subject I have experience on. I played football when I was young. I had injuries...to my back, knees, and head. And no...it's not as simple as you're explaining it. There were times I had to write letters to my insurance company...there was one time I had to go to a hearing at their office with my lawyer to get covered for a surgery.

It's an area that has improved for many people but there are still difficulties. It's not as cut and dry as you want it to be.

This is coming from the person that admitted to being frustrated......

 

I said in the very beginning that I advocate insurance for all ex-players. And I said, several times, I was against a salary for HoF players. You made the claim that those players could have insurance simply if they didn't spend money on a luxury call...that's an ignorant statement. You got called ignorant for it and you've been soiling your diaper ever since.

You claim to have read my words...but you look awfully confused at this moment so maybe you actually didn't.

That's because most insurance companies are crooks. They hope they can write a letter and their customer will just take it at face value and move on. In many cases, a simple phone call will get it resolved if the person on the other end of the phone seems to know what they are talking about. If that doesn't work, your administrator at work can usually get the job done. It doesn't usually go to court, but if it does, you probably have really shitty insurance.

You would be frustrated also if the person you were having a discussion with wasn't even talking about the subject at hand... Think about that for just a minute.

Oh, I agree... we got one great year out of him, but everything after that was just a giant headache. Maybe he just wanted an easy road to a Super Bowl, but I doubt it. I just think he a headcase. I hope he stays clean in his personal life, but I no longer could care less whether he succeeds professionally. I root for players that aren't on the Browns, even some former Browns...but in this case, I'm ready to just not care any longer.
