Fitz isn't producing at all... he's riding the pine on my team.

 

Starting now he’s gonna be keeping my bench warm too... unless I can deal him.

 

Greg Zuerlein being injured and scratched just before kickoff made me lose by 2 points.

 

Potentially earned me a tie with Irish (pending NFL stats update).

 

I lost by a final score this week of 116.7 to 116.65. I blame it on the Zeuerline injury, but losing that close I could also blame it on the Joe Mixon injury. Or about 100 other things for that matter. Brutal...

 

The thing is the timing of the Zuerlien injury with no real warning was the kicker (pun not initially intended). No chance to swap him.

 

In a first (for me at least) I also got screwed by piss poor media reporting Saturday Night. lol! The original report I read on-line , which broke just before opening kickoff of OSU/TCU game, was that Josh Gordon showed up at the team facility disoriented and "not himself", complaining of an injury he got doing a photo shoot. The team feared he had relapsed into his substance abuse issues, and it said the Browns were cutting him. They didn't even bring him to New Orleans...That's the worse news possible if you spent an early pick on JG in fantasy, right?

So, it seemed the only good thing was, it was Saturday night, and I had time to fix my roster before 1pm on Sunday. So I waived Gordon ,in two separate leagues, and picked up Kenny Golladay and Antonio Callaway respectively, just figuring that was IT for Josh. He was done in the NFL in light of this news. So about halftime of the Ohio State game, I get back on the Cleveland. com site, and that report I had read is long gone and nowhere to be seen. Of course now the story was that the Browns were looking to trade him on Monday, and they were getting calls from about 12 teams....I mean that's bullshit! Fantasy fucked by a false report!lol! Now dipshit is a Patriot and I'm certain this will haunt me all season. Gordon will be a choir boy in New England. He will be epic this season...

 

That's brutal... damn.

Why didn't you just put in a waiver claim for him after you found out he was traded, not released?

You had the #1 spot on the waiver wire and could have just reversed your dropping him. (I did - but I was too far down the waiver priority list to get him.)

 

I tried to put in a claim for him like 7 times, because I figured the same thing Lym.. It just said request denied. You can't reclaim a player that you dropped until he clears waivers. I'm guessing Crex wasn't the only one with a claim on him...

 

^^^That pretty much summed up my fortunes this week. I would have beat any team in the league, except for the one I was playing against.

Good luck Crex. My misfortune might have given you an early Christmas present....That really was a debacle. Nothing I can do about it though. I trusted that the initial report on Gordon was accurate, and it turned out that it was anything but...Oh well. That's one for the books. Live and learn. I thought I'd seen everything in fantasy football, but that was certainly a first....

 

I admit Kinda surprised me to see him on waivers so I took a shot.

I actually have Gordon in another league, so was following the news. One ting I've learned is not to knee jerk react to news when it comes to ffl. Though it has cost me a big ole Goose Egg on a few occasions.


We'll see if Bill can get him straightened out.

 

I hear ya. But it was a report involving Josh Gordon and relapse into substance abuse. Didn't feel like a "knee jerk" reaction at all, based on the info coming out....

 

Fantasy football sure frustrates me. I just cant get a handle on it, lol. I need to take a deep breath and regroup for next week.

Hell, who am I fooling, i'll just get blasted next week too.

27 is my magic number tonight...need Fitz and Conner to score at least that many to win in one league (a decent shot), and Conner and Godwin to outscore AB by at least that many in another (a longer shot than the first one, but at least a shot #lloydchristmas). Then I need Conner and DJax to outscore Boswell by at least 7 in my other league.

 

The beginning of a decade long roller coaster ride for Bills fans, lol.
