I think this is the week Browns fans have been waiting way too long for. I can smell victory coming in front of a rowdy Dawg Pound crowd in our only scheduled primetime appearance of the season. Is anyone old enough to remember our last victory? The Browns can control this game with defense. Garrett and Ogunjobi need to set the tone Thursday night, and I think they will. The Jets O-line struggled against Miami.. Darnold can be rattled, and I expect the Browns to do just that. Hit him hard and hit him often, and this opportunistic young Browns defense will continue to create turnovers. Crowell is dangerous, but he doesn't have the best vision. Keep him at bay, and keep the pressure on Darnold... I think this is going to be a fun one for Browns fans...Long overdue.
Any guesses on who replaces Gonzalez? What about the kid we had in camp earlier? (I can't even remember his name. lol!)

IMO it's a significant advantage to be the home team on Thursday night games. I don't even think it'll be an upset if Cleveland wins. This is one the Browns have to get....
Cairo Santos. Already scheduled to work out with the team and has a history with Dorsey from Kansas City.
And It's now official. The Browns have opened up as home favorites for the first time since 2015..... ^^^My gawd, that's unbelievable. smh...
Browns signing kicker Greg Joseph...Never kicked in regular season game. Was with Miami this summer and made all 3 of his preseason attempts. https://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2018/09/browns_to_sign_kicker_greg_jos.html
His college stats are not that impressive....He made 15 of 21 FG attempts last year kicking for FAU. He also missed 4 extra points. The Browns should have addressed these kicking concerns in the preseason. That's a FO fail IMO. Probably should have inked Dan Bailey the second Dallas released him. I'm crossing my fingers with Mr. Joseph, but this signing doesn't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy.
Hey Browns fans! As one of the sole Jets representatives on the forum I just wanted to say good luck to you guys for the game on Thursday, I'm really excited for it. Seems like a long time since the Browns and Jets were actually fun teams to watch and look positive for the future. Seems like it'll be a tight, defence-oriented game that will come down to a few deciding moments. If you haven't been following much of the Jets this season I'll give a quick overview of our performances in the first two games. Sam Darnold has looked very very promising so far (and I'm not just saying that as a Jets fan) but was let down by our O-line and receivers in the Miami game. The Dolphins D-line is good and gave us a lot of problems but so is yours so I expect you to make it hard for Sam on offence. That said, Sam has shown he can make plays on the run and make big plays out of a collapsed pocket. In my opinion, the biggest decider of the game will fall on the Browns ability to stop the Jets run game. This was the biggest difference between our win vs the Lions and loss vs the Dolphins as it showed that often our offence can seem one-dimensional. I can't overstate how impressive the Jets defence has been in our first two games. We have playmakers on every level of the defence at the moment and I genuinely believe our secondary is up their with the best of the NFL. However, what worries me, particularly against the Browns, is our ability to stop a scrambling QB. Last game we made Ryan Tannehill look like Mike Vick so I'm concerned about someone with Tyrod Taylor's ability. For the Jets sake, I hope they've got that issue sorted out. I'm looking forward to your guys' first win, you seem to be on the precipice of it. Just hope it isn't this Thursday.
Josh Gordon heading to New England for a 5th round pick...smh. Why give him away to them after the way they blackballed us on the Jimmy Garopollo trade? That's bullshit...
Still. You'd think the way that BS went down last year, it'd be enough to inspire our organization to extend a middle finger and offer a big "fuck you" to the Patriots, when they inquired about Gordon...I know every organization seems like "second rate" in comparison to New England, but with our franchise, they make it SO obvious... Im sure he'll be the beast we've all been wanting so desperately to see here in Cleveland the last few seasons... No doubt the Pats will cut Corey Coleman to make room....
I don't know, TD. Could be that the Pat's 5th round offer was the best one on the table. For all we know . . . it could have been the ONLY one on the table given Gordan's history.
Oh, I have no doubt the Browns took the best offer on the table...I just thought maybe after the way that shit went down last year, when New England ignored our offer and took a lessor deal from San Fran to send Garoppolo out of the AFC, that this would be the perfect opportunity for us to return the "favor" to those assholes... ...but the Pats always get whatever they want. sigh.
Frankly, I was mildly shocked that the Browns got a 5th round pick for him. IF there were other offers on the table (and, given Gordan's history, I kind of doubt it), I would suspect they were a conditional 7th round pick.
I wasn't shocked. New England needs a #1 WR, and this could realistically solve their problem dirt cheap...They've been trying all off season to come up with something, and now they have a guy with sky high potential, and they don't even have to pay him much...Bottom line: Pats get one of the NFL's most talented WR's. They have very little financially invested. And it only cost them a late round pick. It's a potentially HUGE win for New England, for very little risk.
