Really Nagy? This is the kind of post game comment you're going to make after facing our bitter rival? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/grizzly-detail/chicago-bears-matt-nagy-offensive-play-in-packers-game-492830481.html?amp=y Nagy really cited a "lack of preseason reps" and that the Packers game was a learning experience? They had 5 frickin preseason games that provided zero experience for our starters. That's what the preseason is for you moron. Edit, just noticed this was already addressed in the other thread. Still too pissed off to delete this thread though.
I’d post a third fucking thread. What a ridiculous thing to say. He really started his tenure here off with a bang.
And what's up with that stupid smirk on his face? He just blew the game against our most hated rival and he's going to be optimistic? Maybe he's just low IQ, I don't know...
I know it's game 1 but wtf with the time out management , doesn't matter who is the HC , no one and I mean no one has a grasp of when to use them properly . The Bear never ever have 3 timeouts remaining at the 1st half or end of game .
You got a warning for that post @gidion72 If you have nothing positive to contribute stay off the Bears board.
Holyshit, look out, Rapistburger just turned over the ball again! Your idiots couldn’t beat a team that’s won 1 game in 2 years
Says the guy who's team single-handedly snapped the Brownies losing record at 17 this week, and If not for the cupcakes in the AFC north last season the Bears could of been in contention for the #1 overall selection in the draft.
I think you are out of line if you’re really giving me a warning for that. You have posted stuff on this site that makes this look like child’s play. A warning here is totally ridiculous. There is nothing in my post that deserves a warning.
How empty is your life that your entertainment is derived from attempting to troll a fan base on a small website of a perennially NFL irrelevant football team 1,000 miles away from where you live? Can either of you answer that?
I had a thought, and I think it's because the site is dying / lower traffic. The Chicago Bears board is larger than the NFL General Discussion and the Pittsburgh Steelers boards (even with a lot of us taking the summer off) so if they want traction on their bullshit they have to try and come where there's anyone left . It's a shame because in the exodus from CBS there were a few trolls that followed over and Tim, etc clobbered down on them hard, IIRC. Originally this was supposed to be a place for legit football talk, and despite the downturn in traffic it stayed that way for years. gideon, you surprise me because I swear I remember you from CBS actually talking football instead of taking shots at a fanbase.
After reviewing the game I don’t think Nagy’s performance was that bad. Yes clock management in the first half was bad and he got screen happy but he also dialed up some good plays that were there if Trubisky and co. performed better. Over all Nagy will have a lot of teaching points to go over and if corrected this offense can be good.
Probably is more boredom issues than anything else. A bunch of good Steelers fans have left this site. I mostly deal with dline and BWW off the Bears page, but with the slowness of this site I started looking at boards I normally don’t, Bears and Browns. The 3 busiest boards are the Bears, Browns and Steelers. Most other boards are dead. Off topic stuff really gets way overheated.
What's weird about this statement is that every year it gets repeated but our overall traffic has increased each season since 2012. There are a lot of posters that still check in on the forums daily that simply don't post here anymore for various reasons, but overall viewership of the entire site is mathematically 27 times what it was in 2013. I've said it in the past and it's still true now - the best way to have more people participating on the boards is for the membership to invite people in from all over. Facebook, Twitter and other forums where they have people that they like to talk football with should be a pretty easy way to get people they already know hanging out on these boards. I manage to find a couple dozen people every year to sign up. Some stick around and some don't. Imagine if the regular 300 hundred that engage here would be doing the same every season. We'd probably be over the 5,000 member mark already.
