Except one our examples of blown calls was actually acknowledged by the NFL, while your examples were acknowledged to be the right calls after reviews.

I do agree there were blown calls both ways, I don't disagree at all. But that call on Myles Garrett was a game changer, it very well could have been THE call that changed the outcome of a game. No penalty means a FG on 4th down, opposed to the TD on the following play. DIRECT outcome of the game was effected, unless you contend the Steelers would have went for it on 4th and 8.

lol! Yes it does kinda matter. That's why the NFL made the announcement. You Steelers fans do not have a leg to stand on here. The fact is, after examining the film, the league felt obligated to apologize to the Cleveland Browns for the bad officiating....Steelers got a huge undeserved gift, and because of that, they escaped with a tie instead of a loss....It's not complicated.

    *reads the last two pages*

    *takes a deep breath*

    1. Should have been an after-the-play 15 yards and, if I'm not mistaken, two personal fouls would result in expulsion from the game.

    2. NFL has already admitted this was incorrect.

    3. Moments before, the referees inexplicably stopped the Steelers - while Ben was in his cadence - to delivery a dry ball from the sidelines.
    4. Pass crossed the line of scrimmage. This happened on multiple occasions in the game.

    5. "Not pass interference."

    6. Early first quarter, pass to David Njoku that the defender (Sean Davis) goes helmet-to-helmet on him. No call.

I won't even get into the holding - that goes both ways. Obviously, it was the only time the refs were keeping their flags in their pockets. Although, Pouncey really seems to like hugging Browns players (more media clips if you want 'em... won't allow me to post more than five per message).

Taking away the just awful call - that the NFL admitted they screwed up - on the roughing the passer and the pass interference that should have been called on Haden, which would have been a touchdown... well, that's a 10 point swing in the Browns' favor (Browns +7, Steelers -4 - assuming they make the FG).

Even if the Chubb helmet issue were overturned and the Steelers scored immediately after, they're still down -4 by my count.

Sorry guys... the Browns won that game with their play. The referees robbed them of the victory with theirs.

With that being said, on to the Saints.

Believe it or not . . . Since their return to the NFL in 1999, the Browns are 4 - 1 against the Saints. (13 - 4 all time)

    A) You can't challenge a review. B) He did challenge the call on the field, even though he doesn't have to, all turnovers and TDs are reviewed automatically. Had he not thrown his flag, he would not have lost a timeout AND the play would have been reviewed anyway.

You can't take a call in the 1st half and call it a DIRECT effect on the outcome. I'm sorry, there's just too many variables.

Steelers had the ball at the Browns 38 with 12 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. They ran it on 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 10 and punted from the 34 yard line. Do they do that with a 10pt lead? I doubt it.

They had the ball deep in their own territory with 7 minutes to go and ran on 2nd and 15 and 3rd and 13. Do they do that with a 10pt lead. I doubt it.

The 14pt lead dictated the way the Steelers played in the 4th quarter. If it's a 10pt game it's a different approach. The Steelers play more aggressive and maybe Ben throws a 4th pick and you guys win by a TD. Or maybe he makes a play and the Steelers go up 17. Point is, the earlier play changes how the rest of the game is played.

So, you are proposing that the ENTIRE Steelers strategy changes between a 10 point lead and a 14 point lead? That's even weaker than your "The ball hit his helmet" argument.

Of course it does. But if you're going to be a dick instead of having a normal discussion we can just agree to disagree. Also, I have a little something coming up on your theory the ball didn't change direction but I'll post it on the Steelers board.

I'm being a dick because you are suggesting an entire gameplan changes in the 4th quarter between a 14 point lead and a 10 point lead, and I disagree wholeheartedly with that? OK, I guess I'm being a dick.

Here's the problem with your post...

I don't have a "theory", it has been watched, reviewed and determined the ball didn't move. It is reality. Anything you are proposing is a theory.

Yes, you are being a dick and that's entirely within your right.

Gotta disagree here, Beach. Neither you or Irish are being dicks. You're BOTH just being fans of different teams.
