I've never really got this thing about how its best to be picking last, just don't get it. Pat was picking first, Pat had the biggest week 1. Not to take anything away but he got to pick the best player in FF. 3rdGen got to pick the 10th best player.

 

So i take it you got my money 3rdGen?

I took who I believed the best player because David Johnson only had a wrist injury, and was a phenomenal 2-way player. He didn't show up on the ground, and his 6 receptions for chump change inched him to double digits. Arizona may be garbage this year, but Wilkes has the old mentality of "run the ball." Typically I prefer to pick last as I want 2 picks and have more flexibility to decide how I want to shape my team. Picking 1, I didn't get to pick again until after everybody picked 2x, and unless you play a league where PPR and WRs are point friendly, you have to take a RB.

Passing stats for QBs are generous. I didn't think Drew Brees had THAT good a game, but still got me 55 points off of 439 yards and 3 TDs. I'm used to the Espn/yahoo scoring format of 25 passing yards = 1 point. passing TD = 4 points.

I LOL'd when I saw James Connor sitting there and Jerrick McKinnon went down. Don't come back in any kind of rush, Le'Veon.....

Yeah ive had it explained to me before, by 3rdGen and others. Its the dif between 2 picks if you go last, or 3 in the top31 including the 1st overall pick. People always say they wanna pick last, but i just don't really get why you wouldn't want to pick first? *shrugs*

No one seems to want it, yet every year i don't see the guy picking #1 really suffering for it. Hey ho.

My work schedule can vary quite a bit and at quite short notice. Its pretty hard to say, might have too much work on who knows

 

On a serious note 3rdGen, ive never played in a league with an IR designation. You've used yours on Alshon Jeffery. Whats the deal with this?

Also, you've never explained to us how the prize fund will be broken down. Surely your gonna come up with something more creative than winner takes all?

 

I posted it somewhere... $125 to the winner, $25 to the fantasy bowl loser. The rest of the league dues pays for the site.

You can put a player on IR to free up a roster spot for a replacement player. Players have to be listed as on IR, or listed as Out on the injury report to qualify for putting them on IR.

There is also a single taxi squad position in this league. Only players on a bye week can be put on the taxi squad. Again, it opens a roster spot to make getting through the bye weeks a little easier.

I don’t like picking at either end of a snake draft. It’s just too long between picks, and damn hard trying to evaluate who might not drop back to you if you don’t grab them now. Picking 5-6 is my sweet spot.

Fwiw, I posted this earlier too, in a keeper league now, future drafts will not be snake, but nfl style. The fantasy bowl winner will pick last in every round, the team finishing worst picks 1st in every rd, etc

75... Mongo’s share is the tickets. Yeah, it’s a bit cheaper if you sign up early, I didn’t get the league started till kinda late. It’s the best ffb site, bar none, imo. Esp as a commissioner, the flexibility it has is unparalleled.
