Patriots lose Jeremy Hill for season with torn ACL...

Patriots running back Jeremy Hill‘s first season in New England will last just one game.

Hill suffered a torn ACL on Sunday and is out for the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 25-year-old Hill signed with the Patriots this year after four years with the Bengals. He had four carries for 25 yards and one catch for six yards before leaving yesterday’s game with his injured knee.

New England tried to revamp its running game this offseason by signing Hill and drafting running back Sony Michel in the first round. But Michel missed Week One with an injury, and now Hill is out for Weeks 2-17.

Rex Burkhead was the Patriots’ leading rusher on Sunday with 18 carries for 64 yards. James White added five carries for 18 yards, and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson ran the ball three times for 13 yards. (PFT)

I think the Detroit is quickly going to figure out that Patricia is a huge mistake. The hapless Jets are about to hang a 50 burger on them in Detroit.

New NFL head coaches went 0-7 in Week One...

Seven NFL teams hired new head coaches in the offseason with hopes of improving their spot in the standings.

All of them are in last place after one week of football, however. When the final seconds of the Rams’ 33-13 win over the Raiders ran out, it was certain that all seven new head coaches would begin their tenures with an 0-1 record.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden joined Lions coach Matt Patricia on the wrong side of lopsided Monday night losses. Colts coach Frank Reich, Giants coach Pat Shurmur, Titans coach Mike Vrabel, Cardinals coach Steve Wilks and Bears coach Matt Nagy oversaw losses on Sunday afternoon.

None of the new head coaches are facing each other in Week Two, so the whole group could wind up as losers again in their second time on the field. (PFT)

always thought this guy got way too much credit for Brady's and the Pats success. They showed him at least 20 times in the SB this year. STOP. He's not the head coach or the QB. stop showing him. they don't show any other coordinator besides him.

    Patriots sign Corey Coleman...

Corey Coleman is getting his third chance in the NFL.

The Patriots are signing Coleman, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

A star wide receiver at Baylor, Coleman went to the Browns with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. But he didn’t do much in Cleveland, catching 56 passes for 718 yards and five touchdowns in two seasons. The Browns traded him (and his guaranteed salary) to the Bills this offseason, but he didn’t make Buffalo’s roster.

Now Coleman heads to the Patriots, where he’ll play with a much better quarterback than he’s ever played with before. Perhaps he can finally get some production out of his talent. (PFT)

He is a middling DC at best and that is most likely because he was brought up under BB. I never really thought he was that good of a DC with the Pats, some Pats fans disagreed with me but I stand by it. Brian Flores will prove to be a much better DC for the Pats then Patricia. And well the Lions will probably continue to be the Lions until they fire him in about two years.

It can't be a lot. The kid has been dumped by two fairly poor teams in a month.
