Ok... trying not to be a debbie downer. But who here has changed their minds on the bonus question since Mack joined?
Needless to say I did I'm a fucking homer, even without knowing if he can get up to speed with the defense and if he is in shape to play. In spite of me also saying that Nagy resting starters was a big mistake, but somehow in the back of my mind I'm thinking the Bears defense could win this game visa vie the Cardinals game and Dennis Green. It's been a while since I got over my skis and if the Bears lose this game I'll hang those fuckers up and go back into the lodge and drink the games away like I've been accustomed to in recent years.
I didn’t. I’m very much a “prove it“ guy. I haven’t *seen* shit from them yet. When I do, and when actually start beating the goddam packers, then I’ll start voting them in the W column beforehand.
History was on the Bears side before the trade....the last 4 Bears coaches won on their first trips to Wisconsin's official state toilet bowl.
I think the Packers are a distinctly under-talented team without Rodgers. If this offense can pull its own, then they've always had a real shot at winning - it's a matter of keeping up with Rodgers. With Mack, however, it means the offense might have to score one TD less to win it, and that's important. I don't think it's flipped my thinking - I'm very much in the thought process of Ev. But that said, it's sure as hell made me think it's a lot more possible, and I can't freakin' wait.
Agree with this. Up and down the roster the Bears probably have more talent than the Packers. Where the Packers severely tip the scales is at QB....where they have a guy that is the difference between a 4-6 win season and a 10-13 win season. That's how good Rodgers is. Mack and the defense can make a difference there. It takes 11 guys to beat Rodgers though.
Mack might take a couple of games to get going. He hasn’t had any organized football activity this offseason.
