Khalil Mack in Navy and Orange...?

Taking into account the sacks...turnovers Mack either directly creates or helps create through hurries and pressures....I think Mack could be a +3 in the W/L column. 3 close games that we might have otherwise lost would now swing our way due to his impact.

  2. Deal details

    The Raiders dealt Mack, a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick to the Bears for a 2019 first-rounder, 2020 first-round selection, 2020 third-round pick and 2019 sixth-rounder, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

  3. So, no player included, and the Bears move up a round from 3 to 2 in 2020 and from 6 to 5 in 2019. That's more palatable.

    Confirmed:

So no player, and getting a second and a fifth for a third and a sixth? I like it, still a high price but MUCH better than I thought.

Agree. Especially that we do add a second rounder for a third.

Well no player and move up a 3rd to 2nd so may be sugar coating but at least the pick " may " have some value.

I wish the 2nd rounder swap was in 2019 but im not gonna complain about that sweetener.

And who would these immediate upgrades at tackle be? Names please.

Teams do not let franchise tackles walk - period. Nate Solder, who is rated “average” by PFF just got a colossal contract.

Mack was available, he’s arguably the best pass rusher in the NFL, and the Bears got him. That will help the offense out greatly.

Next big question is how soon can he get on the field?

Just speculation, But I bet hes on the field in obvious passing situations in week 1. I'd guess full time work by week 4.

That's my thought too. I can't imagine week 1 would be anything more than situational downs.

That's of course assuming he is in football shape.

6 years and 141 million it looks like.

    90 million guaranteed.

And he was purged too. Though if we're going to get granular, Cutler wasn't the one reported to have mailed it in, he also didn't throw an all time great bears RB under the bus when faced with adversity the way Marshall did. Which is why he didn't go with them and the team held onto him a couple more years; had he done what both Marty and Marshall were doing, the bears would have let him go with them, guaranteed money remaining or not.

He just did shitwad things like not improve his mechanics, and throw to the other teams at all the wrong times. But again, the team was in decline and that was the issue. Blame one guy all you want (the guy who happens to be the best QB the bears have ever had), but this team was bad and had Jay gone when Marty & Marshall did, they'd have still been bad. That wouldn't have changed. Though I'll concede it less likely for Pace to have signed the mentally disabled giraffe for 18 mil guaranteed.

I will remain critical of Glennon in review of Pace as its well deserved. And I hope like hell Sam Bradford goes back to his career stigma of being made of glass, because I want the bears to play against Glennon week 3.

It's water under the bridge, and now its 2018 and we've moved on. For the first time in a while, I'm excited about this team. Pace just gave me more reason to be. This is looking like one of the good moves unless Mack mails it in.

If this trade doesn't happen, the alternative at edge was recycled trash like Bumarr or the scrap heap of roster cuts happening today.

Schefter reporting Mack extension done (I'm watching Washington/Auburn on ABC and it just broke. Awaiting numbers.

For that amount of money he better be ready by week 1. He's getting paid to terrorize Erin and the rest of the NFC North. It would suck if he doesn't play at all that game.

While a hefty price tag this team's now very Intriguing, assuming Roquan's what we think he is have we now a top 5-7 Defense?

Is the NFC North now the toughest division in Football?

Was Nick Kwiatkoski or Acho getting the starting nod OLB?

I don't think this makes us a play-off caliber team. I had us at 5-6 wins. I don't think he puts us at 10 wins.

A lot still comes back to the other side of the ball. I was not impressed at all this preseason with our O. Let's hope we were holding a lot back.

One thing is for sure, this made Sunday night a lot more interesting.
