Does that actually work? Because I'm currently living in Nashville but want to stream local Chicago channels.
Yeah it worked for me. That was about 6 years ago but it worked fine. IPVanish is like $6 a month but it worked great.
I have IPVanish already because it's well worth it. I didn't realize you could use it to access local channels wherever you set your IP to. Makes sense though. I'm gonna explore this, thanks.
Let me know if you're still able to do this, and how. If someone just wanted to watch Bears games, they wouldn't even have to buy the PlayersKlub service - they would just need to set the IPVanish address to a local area broadcasting the game. If I can figure out how to do that conveniently, then I can save a couple extra bucks (I would likely get a VPN with PlayersKlub) and get what I was looking for anyway. This is really just bookmarking for later, since I can't dig into it now, but if you guys can provide enough roadsigns, then I should be able to tune in and relax come season start with relative ease... This is very cool, as a perennial out-of-towner.
I'm currently in the great state of Texas...I'll be "home" in Nashville either late tonight or sometime tomorrow and will check this out.
Boonie is right, I was just reading about this that the IP is being "Geo Tracked" and it makes getting a feed attainable. I was also reading many misguided people were able to watch that gay European football from the US. Sorry Ev! The truth sometimes hurts. Blang as others suggested it may be easiest to try casting it from your phone to your roku enabled device, but just make sure screen mirroring is enabled on your roku device, and if you casted to it before it must be. I looked into the process of loading kodi on roku and they say it can be done, but I don't understand how the software and device that are two separate languages could be very reliable, whereas casting it is in a stream that both understand.
Or just go to Reddit and search “nfl” or “Chicago Bears” and links galore will be delivered directly to your device. You can get a monster cable (hdmi) to link from your laptop to the bigger screen that I assume is securely fastened to your wall. Regarding handheld devices... You can still watch them via the Reddit links.
I've done this for a few years. The last year or two have actually been much better. I can usually find a solid to decent stream. Still not ideal, but it works.
I have a question for anybody with direct TV or more specifically the NFL Sunday ticket, did you have any feeds tonight for the Friday night preseason games? because the Players club had none at this time in that category. It would of made looking for the different games easier. It has the redzone but I know that doesn't start until Sept 9th. However I was able to find a few games other than the Loins/Bucs game tonight which I think many local networks were carrying. I was able to find Jets/Giants, Broncos/Redskins, and Panthers/Pats. It has a category of 142 major metropolitan area networks with which I found them with the players club. My experience with it hasn't been problem free as there are times I lose connection, but that from time to time happens to me when I'm on the computer and believe that's a comcast issue more than a PK issue. So far my feeds tonight have been solid without interruption. There was also one day I couldn't get anything, but from what I understand from people that had the service for months it was more of an exception rather than the rule, and within hours solved the problem. $5 bucks a month this shit is awesome with HD feeds, and ALL the movie channels. It has UK TV for Everton, and Mexico TV for Babyfan, Australian TV for whomever gives a fuck about the Aussies. I think any out of market Bears fans would be silly not to get this for $5 bucks a month behind a VPN at another $5 bucks.
Five dollars compared to the $130.00 I spend on my tv every month? Sounds like an unbelievable thing. Just don't know if I have the smarts to do it.
reddit.com/r/nflstreams is where you want to look for a "quick fix". It has gotten better of the years but its really unreliable. reddit.com/r/mlbstreams works insanely well for baseball though, I would note. I've used Kodi for various streams in the past but never tried PlayersKlub. I'll have to give it a whirl
It has all the sports, football, baseball, hockey, basketball, and the gay football too. I'm pretty sure even you could do it just by following the instructions on the link I posted. If you take it step by step and stop the video until you proceed to the next step. baby steps.
Okay I will try that tuna. I don't watch a lot of tv but I sure would love to be able to see the Bears play more often. Mind you if I f**! up my husband will kill me. That is a lot of responsibility to put on your shoulders but ...
Yeah all the games that were on last night are on a replay schedule today in the Sunday ticket category. A dude from the PK sent me a link to a beta version of an interface they call the "TPK Box" it's a lot less clunky and smoother but it still is a beta version probably with some bugs. Here's the link again, and after downloading always hit "done" Never "open" so you can have the option to delete that installation file you downloaded as space is at a premium on these devices and those files are no longer useful. Also remember the mint panel where you sign up for the service has one password, and each connection you pay for carries a DIFFERENT password that is defined by TPK and available from the mint panel under services and then manage product. Don't wait for an email for it like it suggests as I never got one. https://troypoint.com/how-to-install-the-players-klub/ I also strongly suggest if you don't have a VPN service get one. I use the one from the link "Ipvanish". It's another 5 bucks a month, and well worth it.
