that's how i thought the MEG would be. it wasn't scary at all. my older brother would go to the movie theater Jaws was playing in when it debuted and right at the park of Ben Gardner's head coming through the hole, he would yell out at the back of the theater "look out for that head," and run out the back doors of the theater. haha.
The head was the part that really had people jump. There was one other scene where everyone jumped bad too, I think it was the shark swimming up on the scuba diver.
the ben gardner head scene wasn't in the film at first. the movie was done filming and spielberg felt he needed 1 more scare, so they poured milk into a inground swimming pool with a hole in a piece of wood and dreyfus and dropped the head down in the hole. brilliant.
Special FX are funny. My ex worked on film sets (back in the day) and once made a brain out of a beige T-shirt and rubber bands. It worked great as it was in a tank with water and red food coloring for the scene... of a low-budget sci-fi movie.
triple feature - TAG - funny than i thought. not as bad or dumb as i thought. saw it for free. the end showed the real guys who have been playing for 35 yrs. lol. Avengers - Infinity War - wow. i missed the THOR Ragonok movie so i might be lost. so all this stuff happens in the movie for Spoiler Thanos to kill everywhere with the snap of his fingers and then retires to his happy home? that is the dumbest thing i ever seen. how does the stones do that? kill half the world's population ? so he did it for the stones and for his home to be restored ? lame. the credits show some hint of the new movie Captain Marvel, but as a woman. ugh. SKYSCAPER-fell asleep twice. woke up rewound it and wish i was still asleep. baSically a Towering Inferno or Die Hard ripoff with the Rock being the Rock. Plot is not enough to sell this movie. needed more to it.

It took me 3 tries to understand The Matrix. I kept going there baked as fuck. Luckily, it was during a run at a cheap movie house in Seattle.
OK you mutts - I FINALLY SAW THE WARRIORS ! Wow. For all the love of this movie, i am shocked how cheesy and low ball bad it was. the gang with the face paint, baseball bats and uniforms was creepy as hell. really creepy. I laughed at how bad this was more than any other movie i ever saw. The bathroom brawl with the guy on roller skates and his gang was great. the all girl gang who trapped 3 Warriors in the room bc they thought they killed Cyrus was fantastic. When the one guy broke the chair over the cute girl in slo-mo WWE style was awesome. Luther clanging the 3 pony bottles with his fingers chanting "WARRIORS," was creepy as hell. Luther finally got his at the end. Not what i expected and a lot cheesier than i thought, but i've seen worse movies. it made me laugh and it was good action. B+ Ajax and Luther - James Remar and David Patrick Kelly were in 48 hrs together and Kelly's character was named "Luther" again. haha.
Glad you saw it - and you got it TOTALLY! Cheesy, dated, bad to the point of being awesome in parts. Solid fun. Sonny Landham in both, as well...and the guy who played Rembrandt (he was a parking lot attendant in 48 Hours).
the Mercedes Ruehl scene was a obvious set up. no one sits on a park bench in Central Park or any Park at night ! haha. a lot of funny stuff in the movie. some creepy stuff too. that guy near the end was a heck of a roller skater.
That's why Swan said to Ajax "you never were very smart"...! The line that made me laugh out loud was Mercy protesting "I can't go in there - that's the MEN'S room!", and Vermin grabbing her arm, looking incredulous, and saying "Are you kidding?!" The bottle scene was David Patrick Kelly ad-libbing. The director gave him the "Warriors - come out and play!" line, but Kelly did the bottles and sang/screeched it.
Swan attacks her earlier and rips off her panties and they act like a couple the rest of the movie. nice.
I don't know he ripped her panties off so much as he ripped a piece of her dress off to use as a fuse for the Molotov cocktail.
regardless, he attacks her, rips off a piece of her clothes and then they act like they're best friends. great couple.
BLACK PANTHER-Wow. A lot of hype for just another comic book movie. so it's fancier than the others but it's a simple story. i read they praise the acting? really ? there was nothing special about it. it was just a basic movie. it wasn't epic film making they are making it out to be. it's more cgi than anything. The Motion Picture Academy - the Oscars, announced a new Oscar for next year based on the Most Popular film which BP was all of last year. So now it's going to win a new Oscar bc it won't win Best Picture. Freaking lame.
