https://www.yahoo.com/sports/jose-u...injury-call-longer-suspensions-053506149.html marlins are assholes. SP needs to be taught a lesson. opening pitch beaning bc the hitter is red hot? not good. needs a long suspension. the 1 asshole braves coach - Brian Snitker needs to be suspended a month. why? acunas didn't rush the mound. it was never an issue until he came out of the dugout and headed towards the pitcher. he had to be held back by numerous players. he's the head coach and wants to tangle with a player in a fight? sorry. gotta go sit for a while. again look at the replay. teams were calm till he came out and wanting a piece of the pitcher. sorry. not good or smart.
There are several reports out that Acuna' elbow is OK, no damage... that's great news - he's day-to-day
What would you want him to do... he stood up for his star player and was pissed and ready to go to war over what just happened... and what happened on the 1st pitch was frickin' looney.
pitcher said it was an accident. war ? beat them on the field. i said this before. in 1 fight there's always someone going way over the top and causing more trouble. the fight earlier this year or last year, it was aaron judge i think who wasn't involved but got involved with sucker punches. no need for that. the situation last night was CALM Will. the manager coming out barking at the pitcher and getting closer and closer to him DOES NOTHING. he had to be restrained by his own players. What does that say ? Calm the fuck down. The incident escalated bc of the manager. getting closer and closer to the pitcher and then being restrained from getting his hands on him. the marlins weren't having any of that. no need for that. the pitcher and hitter stayed their ground.
We agree to disagree. I think the 1st pitch beaning deserved a reaction and the Bench Boss did what he felt at the moment was right. You and a lot of others seem to be putting the emphasis on Snitker, when the most asinine responsible play that started it all was the pitcher.
and you ignore what i reposted?? in my eyes they are both at fault. you said i ignored placing blame on the pitcher. i clearly didn't do it. "marlins are assholes. SP needs to be taught a lesson."
well the phils had SS Scott Kingery pitch for 3 innings and he was pitching so slowly it wouldn't register on the radar gun. so his mashing was against some underhanded throws. im shocked how quickly his skills have deteriorated. bautista used to be a solid average guy too. what's sad is the game was tied 3-3 when the wheels fell off and they put up 3 tds and a fg. the phils used 2 field players to pitch 5 innings bc he needed to save the bullpen for game 2 of the doubleheader. phils fans are screaming for the manager's head for that decision.
Trevor Bauer may not pitch again this year... Three days ago The Indians placed starter Trevor Bauer on the 10-day disabled list due to a stress fracture in his right fibula, suffered when he took a line drive off of his right ankle in a game last Saturday. There was no timetable announced at the time, but today there are signs that the Tribe may have to do without him for the remainder of the year, with Paul Hoynes of the Plain Dealer writing last night that “the remainder of [Bauer’s] regular season, and perhaps the postseason, could be in jeopardy.” That was not attributed to anyone, and when that happens its often because someone is preparing to deliver some bad news at some point but isn’t quite ready to yet. The Indians are not going to be challenged in the AL Central for the rest of the season but not having Bauer would really hurt their chances to make some noise in the postseason. Indeed, Bauer has been among the game’s best starters this season, owning a 2.22 ERA with a 214/56 K/BB ratio in 166 innings.
Nationals basically dumping the season trading Adams and Daniel Murphy to St. Louis. LA picked up Bryce Harper via Waivers but couldn't strike a deal, so he's on the Nats till the end of the season.
