Dangerous? yeah, do i need to remind you of my visit to Heinz Field. i wasn't even cheering for ND and felt threatened. i left in the 3rd qtr bf the game and fans got out of hand. kid next to me chanted "Rudy is awesome every play" and wanted to fight 2 large 300+ bald ND fans at half-time who threatened to shut him for chanting obnoxiously every 2 seconds. he wasn't even a Pitt student. Just a resident. Classy.

the Bullies was from 1974-75. time to move on and stay in the now. Mean Joe Greene ? Steel Curtain? Just a fancy word.

you remember this shit but forget other fanbases. you have a very tunnel vision memory like many other people on here that seem to think philly are the worst fans in sports and the villains of every event known to man, when it's not true. not 1 person i ever met besides myself can get the Santa Claus story accurate or even retell it accurately. Yeah Court House at the Vet - that was 14 years ago.

A Father and Son, drunk out of their minds attacked the first base coach at a game. The opposing first baseman whooped their ass before both teams joined in and whooped their asses. still not in philly.

Streams of blood fill the upper row of seats and down a set of concrete of steps at a Raiders-49'ers game when a brawl erupted. Not in Philly.

a Buffalo Bill fan slaps the sun glasses off of a fan wearing a Tom Brady jersey. when the fan confronts him and sits back down, he was slapped in the head by the same Bills fan. Then the Pats fans sends him 3 rows down the steps and people jump in and an annoying girl gets a large cup of beer dumped on her arm in the melee. that was funny as hell. Pats fan wasn't even cheering. he was quietly watching the game.

i could go on and on. many fanbases are notorious and bad. philly is no angel there but neither are many others. either put them all in 1 group or none of them. philly shouldn't be singled out, yet they always are!

halo - my brother is law is an old school Steelers fan. he's a wealthy attorney and CPA, so he has a lot, but won't have this. I like to do my Christmas shopping in the summertime to avoid the rush etc. i found him a perfect gift. a original and real Super Bowl IX ticket and matching program for the first SB win of the Steelers franchise. Boom !

thanks halo -- years ago i wanted to get used tickets from all 6 SB wins and put them in a frame for him. holy shit that would've been expensive as all hell. way out of my league as sellers wanted top dollar for a crumbled up ticket. then i found the same idea with colorful reprints of each ticket in pristine condition, so i got him that instead for his Birthday! he loved it. he has it in his law office hanging on the wall in his big office. he was a big Jack Lambert fan, so i got him a signed ball by Lambert and a mini-helmet signed by Bradshaw !!

i hope he likes this halo. he's not into sports memorabilia like i am, but he's wealthy and he doesn't need anything, so i try and outdo myself each birthday and christmas. it's hard bc i go over the top for him. my sister, his wife is easy. she wants books for her Kindle. Ugh.

there's a company that makes huge wooden signs by profession with their last name on it. so since he's an attorney i got him the sign with his last name on it. he was overwhelmed. it also hangs in his law office.

 

Sad news, I wasn't sure where to put this. Rick Jeanneret was feeling light headed during the sabres broadcast and had to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher.
