    Agreed...

With the cap space, I wish they had done more now in free agency. A mediocre body with experience is better than a player not cut out for NFL duty.

I thought PFT graded Njoku really well... or did I hallucinate (VERY POSSIBLE) those PFT stats/images here on the Browns’ boards last season? Better hope he hasn’t developed Finley’s hands.

Njoku had drop problems at Miami. While he's physically imposing, he just wasn't the best receiver around. I have never seen him having the ceiling of a consistent, elite NFL TE. Watching him down here was ultimately disappointing, given how many tools he has to work with and just couldn't make enough of. I absolutely hope the best for him, but I see these inconsistencies being in line with what he's shown before, not necessarily an outlier.

Since being cleared to play, Robinson has been elevated to second team LT.

As I eluded to earlier, this guys STILL is not getting talked about. He is listed 3rd on the initial depth chart, but I imagine that stays that way since Fells is the "blocking TE".

Just like that, Corey Coleman is gone. Traded to Buffalo for a sack of footballs. I keep seeing people railing on Sashi for the pick and not selecting Michael Thomas even though literally every team skipped Thomas at least once. I don't recall the pick being panned at the time. He was a very good college receiver that needed some refinement to make it as a pro. It's a shame it didn't work out but there have been rumblings that he is an "energy vampire" and not a good locker room guy.

I think this just clears the way for them to keep Calloway and Ratley without risking losing them trying to sneak them to the practice squad a la Charles Johnson. I think the team also *needed* to keep Janis for his ST ability so they got rid of #19. I think barring any addition, the receiving corpse will be (at least) Flash, Juice, Higgins, Calloway, Ratley, Janis. They could roll with 7 if they don't want to risk losing someone, but with receiving threats like Duke, Chief Njoku, and Seth Devalve, there will be plenty of options for the football.

Can’t lie... gonna miss seeing CC (and his dropsies) two times a year. Where have all the number ones gone?

Honestly, this is a good move for Cleveland, spiritually. He is/was overrated and trading him is part of “the cleanse”. Browns fans should be celebrating.

Here are some excerpts from the draft talk:

THAT ^^^^ Is how I felt about Corey Coleman in the pre draft process

    HOWEVER

I also MISSED on Michael Thomas and thus far, Laquon Treadwell, I am ready and willing to admit when I am wrong as well...Though, Treadwell is being praised in Minnesota this training camp. He seems to have a rapport with Kirk Cousins, so I'm not ready to admit defeat on him just yet.

Top 5 Laquon Treadwell first year injuries, only 215 yards after two seasons, however, he does look to be coming into his own in year 3, let's wait on this
late 1st Will Fuller 2 years, over a 1,000 yards and 9 TDs
    2nd Josh Doctson 2 years, 568 yards, 6 TDs
    2nd/3rd Tyler Boyd 2 years, 828 yards, 3 TDs
2nd/3rd Michael Thomas 2382 yards and 14 TDs!! Class of his class thus far!! Major miss on my part! @Tim was on him from the beginning
3rd/4th Corey Coleman 718 yards, 5 TDs, injuries and traded for a 2020 7th round pick...

    1. Keeps the Carson Wentz trade alive through 2020 (we received a seventh round pick that year from Buffalo). The good news is that will likely be the first overall pick in that round, so hey... silver linings.

    2. Nine first round picks from 2011 - 2016.

    3. Zero still with the team.

    4. Corey Coleman was the consensus - at least by professionals - top wide receiver in the 2016 Draft. Can't dog Sashi and the Browns for taking a player like that.

    5. Frees up targets for Johnson, DeValve, and Higgings (who greatly out-performed Coleman by all accounts this training camp). Don't see a downside here.

    6. Really, *really*, feel for Bills fans. They're living a Browns nightmare. Signed A.J. McCarron, drafted Josh Allen - completely torpedoing the next 3-5 years, and now set to start Corey Coleman at wide receiver. Yuck.

Rumor is that he broke his hand stuffing his carry on bag in the overhead compartment on the flight to Buffalo this morning. :point:

Just wait until he has to catch one of Josh Allen's bullets - a 64 mph pass thrown within five yards of the line of scrimmage, completely crippling his hand and thereby ending his NFL career.

Seth DeValve would be a starter for 24 other NFL teams. I'll die on that hill.

    *AND* Cardale Jones. Oof.

I had about as much luck mock drafting as the Browns did actual drafting in 2016.
