I had the pleasure of meeting Kilkennydan last night in Vancouver.....Great Guy. He took me too the Hockey Game.........Caps vs Canucks and he wore his Buffalo Sabres Jersey and was a STAR in Vancouver........lots of good comments from Vancouver Fans......and I think Dan enjoyed himself. I believe... Cat...Matty...Will... have met Dan.........I was Honured that he took me too the Game. Canucks lost 5-2 ........Caps are very good team and # 8 really is Great. Thank you Dan........\+/....beer

I've met Red. I've also met Frank (firehalo). I have Will on my wish list. Meeting Lava affirms the fact that there's a great collection of fans here. The reality of a person has always been even more favorable than an impression I've got when all I know is an avatar and a few comments about sports. It was great to meet Lava, and a ton of fun!
The Sabres start a pretty grueling stretch of 12 games over the next 21 days with most of the opponents either current elite or teams that have to be highly respected (PIT). Seven of the 12 games are on the road. Tonight BUF hosts TB and then goes on a 3 game roadie over 4 days in WPG, MIN, & PIT They have another roadie to TB, FLA & NAS at the end of Nov./early Dec. and then wrap up this stretch with their first game of the year against TOR. If the Sabres can get 12 of 24 points then I'll start to be a believer that this team will challenge for a playoff spot. The Amerks are streaking and ECHL Cincy is strong too; more importantly they're winning with prospects instead of relying on minor-league vets like other farm teams often do. Add three first round picks (probably - there are some conditions) to the strong pipeline together with a core of super young exceptional talent in Buffalo already and it's time to start stating that it's more likely a matter of when and not if this team becomes a contender. The next 21 days will tell us how soon that ascension may happen.
The Sabres probably didn't deserve it tonight, but we're happy to take the 2 points from the Lightning. Good teams find ways to win games that they should have lost based on stats. It's nice to hear KeyBank Arena rocking again. Thank you Carter Hutton! Now off to Winnipeg. The team really needs to play 60 like they are evidently capable. I like the identity they're building; now I wonder if they need the snot knocked outta them to shake out some lazy play. Holy s#!t. If W's and some lazy play are my concerns then this team has made humongous improvements this year.
I would rather a team build chemistry through the season, unfortunately the Nucks hit the injury bug early and played well early. Buffalo is not a terrible team. Keep on truckin'

Five games into this grueling 12 game stretch and the Sabres are looking outstanding. 10 of 10 possible points after defeating the hockey team from Philadelphia. Oh, seven wins in the past 7.
I was hoping the Sabres may have been able to net 12 points during this 12 game stretch. They have their 12, and it only took 6 games. It's still a very rough six games in front of them between now and Dec. 4 vs. the Leafs. The Bill Nylander case should be resolved by then. It'll be nice if Alex's org. is still looking down in the standings at TOR.
