Bill Burr maybe one of the funniest guys to come along in decades. He was a writer on the Chappele show and has been a stand up comedian for 20 plus years. He has a Netflix animated show F is for Family. And I'm going to put something up here Cat you will either love or hate, but that is comedy. Early in his career(well maybe not early but before he became mainstream} He played a huge outside crowd in Philly. And they booded the shit out of like the first 3 or 4 comics in front of him. He then threw all his material out and proceeded to just go off. I left it up on the Phillies board a couple days ago.

Yet still much better than any Brown RB this year

Why? It's still less than $8M per year. Le'Veon is looking for between $15-16M per year, twice that of the currently highest paid RB.

Not sure where you are going with this troll... did someone suggest there was a Browns RB better than Le'Veon Bell?

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon announced that he would not be with the Browns for the start of training camp in a Twitter post on Monday due to what he called “a part of my overall health and treatment plan.”

Gordon, who has been suspended several times for violations of the league’s substance abuse policy, said that he’s been able to “utilize the resources available to me that will ensure my well-being on and off the field” with help from the Browns. General Manager John Dorsey released a statement a short time later affirming the team’s support for Gordon and announcing the roster move the team made to reflect his absence.

“We will continue to support Josh as he receives the care needed to maintain his progress,” Dorsey said. “We are going to respect his privacy while he is away from the team. Josh will be placed on the non-football illness reserve list until he is ready to return.”

Gordon is eligible to be activated from the NFI list at any point and indicated that he expects to be back with the team in time for the regular season. (PFT)

I know from personal experience, its one thing to quit drugs and alcohol addictions, but its an entirely different thing to get your mind right. Getting your mind right is tricky and in my case, I needed the 'Higher Power' and to this minute I must stay focused and determined or I will fall fast.

Hoping for the best for Mr. Gordon.

Cardinals running back David Johnson didn’t take part in the team’s mandatory minicamp in June amid a push for a long-term extension, but he won’t be extending his absence into training camp.

Johnson posted a video of himself in front of his locker wearing a helmet on Monday, which is the reporting date for Cardinals rookies, quarterbacks and players coming off of injury. The Cardinals confirmed that Johnson, who missed almost all of last season with a wrist injury, is in the building.

Johnson captioned his video with “In Gods hands now … primed and ready to prove it!” That could be a reference to his health or to his contract, which Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim said in June was something the team looks forward to addressing. There was word that Johnson would get a new deal before the start of the season, but Keim is currently suspended as a result of his DUI arrest and that could change the timeframe to get a deal done.

Johnson is set to make $1.88 million in the fourth and final year of his rookie deal. (PFT)

Vikings offensive line coach Tony Sparano died Sunday due to heart disease, a medical examiner has concluded.

Via Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com, the Hennepin County medical examiner specifically has concluded that Sparano suffered from arteriosclerotic heart disease. The condition results from the clogging of the arteries by plaque in the bloodstream.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen previously reported that Sparano, 56, went to the hospital last Thursday complaining of chest pains, and that he was released on Friday following tests.

Sparano previously served as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. He worked as interim coach of the Raiders in 2014. Sparano had completed two seasons as the Vikings’ offensive line coach.

Julio Jones wants a new contract. The Falcons don’t want to give him one. And so Jones is holding out.

Jones has decided to skip training camp because of his frustration with his contract, according to multiple reports.

It appears Jones is willing to hold out of camp entirely, risking $40,000 in fines per day. The Falcons have made clear they don’t plan to give Jones a new contract, although they haven’t specifically said they’ll also fine Jones for his holdout.

If Jones is really serious about this holdout, he could keep it going into the regular season. Jones has a base salary this season of $10.5 million, and he’d lose $617,000 a week if he held out into the regular season.

Jones still has three years left on his contract, and it remains to be seen whether he and the Falcons are going to come to terms on a deal that will satisfy him. For now, they’re far apart.

^^i don't get it. you signed a 5 yr deal and played 2 yrs. now you want to renegotiate? wow. how or why does the NFL allow this to happen? he's under contract he signed. he shouldn't be allowed to holdout when he signed the original deal for 5 yrs.

Julio had some agent drama. The place he was originally before he left with a guy that defected really messed up his contract. I think he makes enough to wait a year to renegotiate but I have no qualms with players getting more when they are worth more when teams still have the leverage of negotiating non-guaranteed years still.

How many times does a team ask a player to take a pay cut or outright cut him 2 years into a 5 year deal, for every one time this happens?

You can bet any test results are being looked at again for malpractice.

good question u dog. how often ? i have heard of players restructuring to keep another player like a QB, but how often does your question happen ?

malpractice on blood tests ? i know of a contaminated needle or the needle breaking off, but didn't know what else they could sue for ... ? very interesting to see what happens.

Its strange that after complaining of chest pains, he was sent home. Arterial blockage is very detectable and treatable... someone seems, in my speculative opinion, to have dropped the ball.

Probably happens too many times... just a very sad situation.
