Where Do We Go From Here?

  1. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

    2009
Kyle Orton: 94 receptions, 1,086 yards, 10 TD
Chris Simms: 1 reception, 5 yards, 0 TD
    Seeason: 95 receptions, 1,091 yards, 10 TD

    2010
    Henne: 79 receptions, 881 yards, 3 TD
    Thigpen: 7 receptions, 133 yards, 0 TD
    Season: 86 receptions, 1,014 yards, 3 TD

    2011
    Moore: 63 receptions, 952 yards, 5 TD
    Henne: 17 receptions, 261 yards, 1 TD
    Losman: 1 reception, 1 yard, 0 TD
    Season: 81 receptions, 1,214 yards, 6 TD

He actually put up similar results to an annualized Gordon with DeShone Kizer from 2017. And yes, I would consider Marshall one of the top receivers in the game during his heyday. However, in not one of those seasons did he lead the NFL in yards (or touchdowns).

  2. Stats mean d&ck...score TDs

  6. Exactly..u proved my point...thx young fella for falling into the trap

Agree. My point is that while using the QB that threw to them in the equation...it can't be the complete argument. Marshall caught 94 balls from Orton. 94. From Orton. Kyle Orton went on to become a decent game manager QB. But that was his first season in Denver...and he was not a good QB at that time at all.

I will try not to make it a habit.

  9. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

The trap of stats actually mattering?

  10. No that u need to score TDs for ur team to win and he only scored 9 in his so called best year ever that we hear about over and over and over and over...he’s not even close to the best...I will say again he came back when the Browns were 7-4 and they didn’t win a game the rest of the season...he came back last year and the Browns didn’t win a game...he’s the definition of an empty stat guy not one that makes his team win games

  11. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

    I agree.

Hence, it was only one of five (five?) points for Gordon.

It does feel somewhat dirty... perhaps we should exchange ad hominems at one another?

This is SAS rankings, you just asked for justification values...not my list

    Clarification:
Most Recent Performance does NOT mean last year. I would say it means most recent complete year. 5 games, imho is not even close to enough to evaluate.

As for the "could be" vs "is", we are talking about CURRENT, which means 2018/2019 season. A down hasn't been played yet. So wouldn't you intelligently conclude, no matter what was said, it is a could be scenario?

In the end, it's just a guys personal list of who he thinks is the best. He has a valid argument.

Yeah...but the other points really sucked.

You're an idiot and your avatar is dumb.

Antonio Brown led the NFL in receiving yards last season, despite missing two games (just like Gordon in 2013). He scored... *checks index* nine touchdowns.

    Sorry Lyman...

At your request..I will cease and desist

  16. Not true...he doesn’t make his team better...in that so called great year...what was the Browns record?

  17. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

I see you wasted all the A+ material on the other Browns posters.

  18. AB has proven year after year after year he is the best WR in the game...not one meaningless season 5 yrs ago..btw not having the physical attributes that u think entails being a top WR in this league

    K. Thanks for the help.

Josh Gordon's most recent performance came last season.

Recent performance does not mean most recent complete season...that's crap. When was JJ Watt's most recent performance? 2015? Because that's the last time he played the entire season. Yet he played in 2016 and 2015 but he got hurt. Those years no longer count?

I kinda SAS. You...not so much.

I would accept it as a could be scenario if it was called that when it was posted. But it wasn't. Go back and look at it. I read it for what it was which is a top 5 receivers list right now. If I'm wrong and it wasn't that I will apologize for being wrong and move on.

Based on potential, yes. Valid argument. Based on results, no. Way off base.
