It's a damn shame that France is just going to get handed a trophy, like that. Croatia is way overmatched. England would have been, too, in fairness. The whole side of the bracket, in the final 8, was going to be the runner-up at best. Didn't see the match, but that England let Croatia get back in it... I didn't think Croatia had that offense in them. If Belgium had been healthy and with a full roster, I don't see France beating them. But, here we are.
This has been one of the most exciting and competitive WCs. Who wants to see Brazil/Argentina/Germany go deep in the WC every time around? Ugh./s Go Croatia!
Still France. Every team on that side of the bracket was better. Belgium, France, Brazil, Uruguay... All better than the other four quarter-final teams. Obviously, just my opinion, and in the game that has so often and recently been decided by the lottery of penalty kicks, could be wrong, but... I think it was pretty clear when watching them that that side of the bracket was the best.
England was a young team, they got rid of the old crew of losers. They impressed, they look like they're back in the top #10 again. This should bode well for them in euro '20. Wouldn't have taken them against france this sunday.

The last 9 World Cup winners have been the most dominant teams of the tournament. You can argue some earlier teams. I know people will say Germany was more dominant than Italy in 2006 but Italy was dominant defensively with only an own goal and penalty against & beat Germany 2-0.
