Ah, Gidion - taking a bet based on astronomical numbers that leave you so little chance of success... Gotta love homers making bets against homers. Let's get football started, already.

I think it will make for one of the better match ups in the league once they both learn each other's tendencies.

But as far as the discussion on press coverage - I believe Brown led the league last season in yards against the press. He wins with horizontal movement at the line (sometimes covering a lot of ground) and that makes it difficult to get a hand on him.

Ward will likely have to win those match ups with his ability to gather and recover quickly, but elite route running often mitigates that.

The opener will only be chapter 1 between Denzel Ward and Antonio Brown. These guys are set up to square off at least twice a year for years to come. This will be the tone setter in a rivalry within a rivalry. Both players are elite athletically. Should be fun to watch...I expect both to show why they are who they are on Sept. 9th...

Injuries aside, this is still a better defense than week one of 2017

    Starters vs. Steelers :
    2017 2018 (projected)
    LDE Carl Nassib Myles Garrett
    DT Trevon Coley Trevon Coley
    DT Danny Shelton Larry Ogunjobi
    RDE Emmanuel Ogbah Emmanuel Ogbah
    Sam Jamie Collins Jamie Collins
    Mike Joe Schobert Joe Schobert
    Will Christian Kirksey Christian Kirksey
    LCB Briean Boddy-Calhoun Denzel Ward
    FS Ibraheim Campbell Damarius Randall
    SS Derrick Kindred Jabrill Peppers
RCB Jamar Taylor E J Gaines

Not to mention, the following backups are now in place for rotation, which they didn't have last year in Chris Smith, Mychal Kendricks, Genard Avery, Travis Carrie and Terrance Mitchell...Along with these "starters" now in a backup roles where they should be in Nassib, Boddy-Calhoun and Kindred.

I would say 5 tds and 300 yds is a long way away from being shut down. I believe the intent was he expects those numbers if Ben is healthy and on. Just to clarify, but I love the argument.

There is no way a rookie, even primetime as a rookie would not "shut down" AB. IMHO

Charlie Garner was not a poor man's Marshall Faulk.

He was a rich man's Larry Centers.

Really? Josh Gordon is the 2nd best receiver in the game? I haven't read back any other pages to see the context but....seriously?

The fact that we agree on two concerns me...

  13. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

Undeniable fact: Browns message boards get more activity from Bears fans than the actual Bears message boards.

So if there's no way a rookie would not shut down AB... does that mean you think there is?

    Cheers, friend! We agree again!

There's a lot more shit worth calling out, on here. Bears fans are pretty resigned to waiting until the start of the season, at this point, without any undue optimism. We're all excited to see the new staff, and potentially football worth watching, and we'll wait until we get it. But you guys are on a whole 'nother level. We're here for the show.

I fail to see what that has to do with what I posted? Perhaps you could enlighten me?

Ah, don't bother. He's a waste of space and time. Not sure why I said anything, myself. He's not interested in or able to contribute to a discussion. Don't bother asking him to validate his troll posts - because that's all they are.

Which is odd considering you quoted it.

Maybe invest in glasses? Or a lobotomy. One of those might help.

Or just realize he's busting your balls because of the post he made above.

dline...Are you really suggesting the Bears don't have anything relevant to talk about? They are ready to win a Super Bowl then? Not really a discussion for here, that would be more of one for the Bears board, but it's deserted right now...Or are you just suggesting that at this time of year, they don't care enough about the Bears to want to discuss it?

What we do discuss here, really is of no concern to you if you aren't a Browns fan. I know there are multiple Bears fans that are also supporters of the Browns, and we welcome you to discuss at will.

dline, at least you make mention of your true intentions...calling out shit as you call it.

I disagree with SAS rankings on wide receivers, but it really isn't my place to call him out on it. If I want to discuss it, then I would make my own list and list my reasons why.

To each there own, I guess
