There aren't many human beings on this planet built to stay with a guy like Antonio Brown, but Denzel Ward is one of them. He can mirror and match with the best. I'm not saying he's gonna shut down AB completely. Antonio just won't be roaming free through our secondary unopposed like usual. Denzel Ward was a top 5 selection in the NFL draft for a reason, so I'm not sure why it's so hard to fathom. He could have a couple key break-ups and a pick, and it could be a huge day. That's certainly do-able for him...Maybe ya didn't get to see him shine enough in college. Idk? But DW is for real, and perhaps he'll finish your sentence for ya come opening day...
Zero TDs is what I look for...that's how you win games. No "Big" plays...AB can get 100 yards on 11 catches..Someone is going to catch balls, this is the NFL no team with a decent QB gets shut down, it might as well be AB...But I don't want to see 150 yards on 5 catches and a TD. The secondary as a whole is much improved on paper over last year...this isn't just Ward being plugged in and expecting a defensive improvement. A healthy pair of bookends in Garrett and Ogbah will help Denzel Ward look good imho. That's where it starts at the line making Ben get the ball to AB within the first 10 yards..That is where Ward would shine, imho. If AB has time to let routes mature, then we will be in trouble.

Well that will be a long long day for a rookie DB covering the best WR in the game....Brown will line up all over....run short motion off the line, line up in the slot, outside, backside away from trips...nothing like throwing him to the wolves right away
Shine vs the Big 10.....3 yds and a cloud of dust offenses.....wasnt tested enough vs those mediocre Qbs...also he wont benefit from their DL
IF Ward is the best CB on the roster, then it would not be unprecedented. Teams in the NFL often put their best CB over their opponent's best WR.
This shows me how often you actually watch football. The Big 10 hasn't played a three yards and a cloud of dust offense since Woody Hayes got canned.
Thats all I do is watch football....the Big 10 had terrible offenses except for Ohio St and Penn St but they were still a run 1st oriented offense
