What?? Not on the team...on the field? Possibly...one will never know...they had to stick a body in there and he happened to be the one, but 4 days into practice, you can't really know that he was one of the best 5...even at the time..
Ok,we got the Ravens at home on October 7th, and we likely lock up our playoff spot when we beat them in the regular season finale in Baltimore.... BOLD PREDICTION: Browns will sweep Ravens this season...
After examining that schedule again, I figured i should elaborate on the bold prediction.... Taking the Baltimore sweep into consideration now I'm leaning more towards 9-7 for the Browns as opposed to 7-9..... The month by month breakdown; In September we go 2-2 with wins in the opener vs. Pittsburgh, and the primetime home game against the Jets.... In October we step it up and go 3-1, with W's at home against Baltimore and the Chargers, and another on the road in Tampa.... Due to the bye week, just 3 games in November. We squeek out the home W before the bye vs. Atlanta, and we come out of the bye with a W in Cincy for the first time since Hoyer was QB....... December proves to be tough as advertised. The Browns suffer their first 3 game losing streak as the schedule makers do them no favors, but they manage to right the ship at the end with a couple clutch division W's to finish the season, at home vs. Cincy and week 17 in Baltimore...Browns go an impressive 5-1 in the AFCN and slip into the playoffs for the first time in a generation...
Shake Shake shake...wake up, wake up, wake up TD your having a bad dream...trying to save you the trouble of having a nervous breakdown...wiping the sweat off your head
Why wouldn't they? With Joe Flacco poised to "flourish" in a renaissance year, what's to keep that team from going 16-0 and just making a mockery of the AFC North? /sarcasm
lol! Should I define "bold prediction" for ya? I didn't say my heart was set on 9 W's in 2018. I do think it's do-able though......You just enjoy making a mockery of everything.
Looking at the schedule the best the Browns can do is 8-8. No way they beat Pittsburgh, I could see sweeping the Ravens.
Oh yeah...That opener will be no picnic for Pittsburgh. Upset special...Bell's holdout makes him ineffective. Denzel Ward comes up big in his debut against AB, and the Browns secondary torments Ben all afternoon...
They're laughing in Pittsburgh and shrugging their shoulders in Baltimore, in Cinci they're praying, but we'll see em on the field, and the Browns are no longer a joke. None of the AFC north is predictable as a Super Bowl contender, and the division is totally open. Let's get ready to rummmmmbuulllll!
If it wasn't for a special teams gaffe, they would have split last year. This is a way better team than last year and shouldn't be so easily discounted.
Honestly, this could happen rather easily. I could see a situation where the Ravens are 2-7 going into their bye week... When we beat them at home, it shouldn't really shock anyone.... But, if they lose to Bengals in Cincy, Broncos, Steelers twice (the first away, leading them into a 3 straight away games), @Browns, @Titans, then they have to win 2 of 3 against the Bills (I'm counting this as a W), @Panthers and Saints at home. If they only manage 2 wins in those 9 contests, I think Flacco's career in Baltimore comes to an end...Which means, the Browns would have a rookie playing in that final game in Baltimore. No offense to the rook, but if a veteran who has been in the system as long as Flacco can't muster more than 2 wins in 9 tries, I have a feeling the rookie will help the Ravens to a top 5 draft pick. I know this is a long shot...but, 5 of the first 9 games on the road, with your home games against Pittsburgh, Denver, New Orleans and Buffalo...Those home wins could be REALLY tough to come by, besides Buffalo. You get the snow ball effect and the Browns could be the beneficiary of some desperation when they head into Cleveland week 5.
I’m on the Browns wagon. I want them to do well. The AB v Ward thing is mostly what is breaking my ribs. What would be considered a successful day for Ward, by Cleveland fans? Less than 100 yds? Zero TDs? Under 5 catches? Anyone expecting to see a rookie CB shutdown the best WR in the NFL on day 1 ... I don’t even know how to finish off that sentence.
