What you do on a day to day basis is an insult to people who truely want to talk about football.

So, then you can assume that the Browns are "impressed enough" with Shon Coleman that the Browns line is ALSO improved with him taking over at LT for Spencer Drango? Or doesn't it count that he is "starting" for the Browns in shorts?

Projected by who? Sports writers? The professionals deemed him a 3rd round player...If THAT is your scale for improvement then the guy taken 50+ picks earlier in the same draft by professionals, SHOULD improve THEIR O-Line even more than the team who didn't get their guy until the 3rd round, right? So, in your mind, the Browns improved their offensive line through the draft more than the Ravens did...

As for the rest of the offensive line, Yanda is 33 years old and coming off IR. If he were 23, then I would see where you have room for him to improve the line...at 33, that's the same age as now retired Joe Thomas. You could make an argument at his age, coming off an injury, he hurts the offensive line...at least until he proves he is back to his usual self.

Come on man...you have to be able to do better than that...

  5. Yep Coleman the next Thomas and Siragusa the next Yanda..btw until the combine Brown was a projected top 20 pick almost everywhere

  6. Insult yes...can’t fool a wily vet but sometimes it gets a little to complicated for you..it’s all good

Showstopper's gone so far off the rails that I don't even want to open the thread. Oh, boy...

Can the season start, already? Hurry up!

Everywhere meaning Sports writers... Again, you don't know what actual scouting departments thought of him...well actually you do, because actual scouts use tape as 90% of their evaluation, interviews as 5% of their evaluations and everything else as 5%. Now part of that 5% of everything else includes, combine, off field issues, etc...but it is rare that a first round talent falls to the 3rd round ONLY because of the combine.

Actually no. The first depth chart isn't announced until the first preseason game.

So if Yanda is not practicing coming off shoulder injury and a 4th round rookie is getting reps in his place (also because another guy retired Day 1 of camp) that makes Siragusa the starter and Yanda the backup? #NitWit

  12. “If”...I will settle for my line of thinking over yours buddy...believe what you will

Yanda missed nearly the entire season last year at age 33. He also finished the previous season on IR at age 32. If the Ravens hadn't restructured his contract twice and created so much dead money they would probably be pressuring him to take less money and threatening his release like they do other veterans. He'll be 34 years old this year. The chances he plays 16 games and plays well is pretty slim.

You're really not as dumb as you pretend to be I hope. The only thing Siragusa proved was he was able to practice when other guys weren't available to practice. Jermaine Eluemunor and Matt Skura also got first team reps last year. Didn't make them starters. The likely of Siragusa starting this year is pretty low. Hurst had a good season and they overpaid him this offseason to return. Hurst and Yanda are your starters barring injury.

And you're still ignoring the loss of their Center who just got paid 10M a year and their right tackle. Combined they missed 4 snaps last year and were awesome in the run game.

If it's your goal to distract everyone from recognizing how little you know about the Browns by showing even less understanding of the Ravens it's going pretty well. #NitWit

  14. Skura will move to center...I have no idea if Siragusa will be healthy to start the year but you can bet their counting on him at some point during the season....I sense a little anxiety from a Pitt fan about Balt

And when James Hurst and Marshal Yanda are the starting guards for the Ravens this year (barring injury) I'm sure you'll come back here to tell everyone how once again you stuck your foot in your mouth. And if for some reason they kick Hurst out to right tackle that eliminates the possibility of Brown contributing.

The funniest part of this whole conversation is you have yet to mention the one guy returning to the team that actually has starting experience.

  17. The best 5 will play...it’s that easy...Siragusa was one of the best 5 last year early on

  18. beachbum M.V.P. Manager Steelers

No he wasn't. Yanda wasn't practicing.

That's true for EVERY team stopper, it doesn't mean they have improved as a unit.

The Browns will NOT improve as a unit, simply because they lost Joe Thomas...Doesn't mean they will have the worst unit in the division.

  20. So he was one of the best 5 at that time
