Tricky Ricky is starting get a bad rep IMO letting qb's get crushed even though Ponder sucked he got crushed so did Bridgewater Bradford really got it Keeum would have gotten it thank goodness he could move around, just a little worried about Kirk Cousins health here and the lack of O-line attention IMO
And on the other hand, I just read an article that claims Rick is one of the better GM's around. They better protect the million dollar man... depth at QB isn't deep.
Yeah i read that they said he's one of better GM's in the NFL,again another WTF are they talking about no SB's 0 and the wasting of AP,and who is Dalvin Cooks back up if gets hurt again?
I saw some video of Mike Needham the guy is quick and quite fast he looks like he might be alright i could see him making the sp team, quess Hecules Mata'afa is still with the Vikings just on IR
Needham sounds like the real deal and will add some good depth... thanks for the info as I hadn't heard of him till now. Hercules was waived, but I don't know if he was claimed or not. Vikings new look web-site is awesome too... check it out at Vikings.com
Fantasy what player would I take from an NFC NORTH rival David Bakhtiarn ( sp ) OT Green Bay Packers to protect Kirk Cousins blind side,Miles Killebrew safety Detroit Lions looking at the upside here, the Bear rb's Tarilk Cohen and Jordan Howard back-ups for Cook and Murray, really that's about it
If the Vikings stay healthy, I really think their o-line is very good. You named some good guy's tho, but the Vikings can hang with the North talent wise in my opinion.
Anthony Barr on contract: It’s on Vikings and I’d like to get it done Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr was looking for a new contract when the offseason got underway and nothing has changed as June comes to an end. Barr is set to make $12.3 million in the fifth and final year of the deal he signed after the Vikings made him the ninth pick in the 2014 draft, but there haven’t been any signs that an extension is imminent. Barr told Nick Shook of NFL Media that he doesn’t feel there’s much more he can do to make his case for a new deal and that the next move belongs to the Vikings. “I don’t really get into the numbers,” Barr said. “It’s more about feeling valued and respected than the actual dollar amount. They kind of go hand in hand, I suppose, but I love being in Minnesota and I love my teammates. I want to be there long term. I’ve felt I’ve worked really hard, improved from my first day there to where I am now. I think I’m a totally different football player. It’s not really up to me. I feel like all the work I’ve done so far, you’ve got to go off that. You can’t really go off what-ifs or this or that. Let the chips fall where they may. It’s not my decision; it’s on them, and I would like to get it.” Barr has started all 58 games he’s played and has 283 tackles, 10.5 sacks and an interception over the course of his time with the Vikings. He’s played nearly every snap over the last two seasons, but the Vikings could ultimately opt to let Barr play out his deal with wide receiver Stefon Diggs, defensive end Danielle Hunter and others also looking for new deals in the near future.
Well it's looking like the Vikings just might let Barr walk, cause they might not be able to afford him after the Kendricks mega-deal then you got Diggs and Hunter which is a must IMO....Diggs wants the Vikings in all purple no way purple pants ok but purple jersey and pants NO!!
Vikings hope Sheldon Richardson pulls “some of those double teams” off defensive ends The Vikings made defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson their biggest defensive acquisition of the offseason and the reason for their interest in Richardson isn’t just about the plays he can make on the interior of their line. It is also about what he can do to help defensive ends Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter. The two players combined for 20 sacks last season and the Vikings would like to see how productive they can be if they aren’t facing regular double teams from opposing blockers. Defensive coordinator George Edwards believes Richardson’s ability to win one-on-one battles can make that happen. “Hopefully, we can get him in some one-on-one situations with the personnel that we have,” Edwards said to Alex Marvez and Bill Polian on Sirius XM NFL Radio. “A lot of times, we’re starting to face where they’re concerned about our defensive ends Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter, where they’ll double them a lot of times, and they’ll end up singling us inside sometimes. So we want to, hopefully with his skill set, be able to take advantage of teams that want to try to do that and, hopefully, pull some of those double teams off our ends in critical situations like third down and those types of deals.” Minnesota had the league’s stingiest defense in the regular season in terms of both yards and points last season. If Richardson has the kind of impact that they hope to see this season, a similar finish may be in the cards for the Vikings. (PFT)
Never gave it much thought but if Richardson can help stop the double teaming of defensive ends that would be awesome, expecting big things from him
Vikings Agree to Terms with Danielle Hunter on Contract Extension EAGAN, Minn. — One of the NFL’s best young pass rushers isn’t going anywhere. The Vikings announced that they will sign defensive end Danielle Hunter on Wednesday to a multi-year contract extension. Hunter, a third-round pick in 2015, has 25.5 sacks over the first three years of his professional career. That stat ranks first among all players who entered the league in 2015. The Texas native had just 4.5 sacks during his three-year stay at LSU, but he has eclipsed that total in each of his first three seasons with the Vikings. Hunter had 6.0 sacks as a rookie before setting his career high with 12.5 in 2016. He scored his first NFL touchdown in the 2016 season opener as he returned a fumble 24 yards for a score. Hunter also recorded a safety when he sacked Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in the end zone in a Week 3 game in Carolina. Hunter then helped the Vikings defense lead the league in points allowed, yards allowed and third-down percentage in 2018 as he racked up 7.0 sacks in his first full season as a starter. He has 147 total tackles (according to coaches’ tally) with 36 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his career. The 23-year-old spoke earlier this summer about how he planned to approach his fourth season in the NFL. “Once you start thinking, that’s when you slow down. A lot of pass rushers tend to overthink because they’re trying to be perfect,” Hunter said. “At my position, you’re not going to be perfect. The best thing about it is to go out there and continue to train and work on your technique, and your body will react. “[I’m going to] continue to build. I’m young. I came in at 20 years old. I’m just going to continue to build,” Hunter added. “I have, hopefully if God lets it happen, hopefully a lot of years ahead of me to play football. Just growing and keep working.”
I just switched again as you were typing, lol. Im a nut for Vikings stuff and I cant make up my mind, so im rockin' one when ever the spirit moves me.
That is very nice! the TCO studio and Hunter got paid!!! next in line Diggs I hope... Barr is looking like he might be assed out would like the Vikings to find a way to keep him
