Yes. I know... We didn't win last year because our QB's were terrible. Not because our team was completely devoid of talent. Im sorry you don't see "actual talent" when you look at players like Baker Mayfield, Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon, Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson, David Njoku, Myles Garrett, Emmannuel Ogbah, Christian Kirksey, Joe Shobert, Jaime Collins, JC Tretter, Joel Bitonio, Kevin Zeitler, Denzel Ward, Nick Chubb, Mychal Kendricks, Damarious Randall, EJ Gaines, TJ Currie, Larry Ogunjobi and others, and you only qualify them as "potential talent", but that's your inane outlook... So you go ahead and "sleep" on the Browns if ya want...I see ACTUAL TALENT. We've been in football purgatory over here for two decades. So if some Browns fans want to talk a little smack about our vastly improved roster, what the fuck is it to you?...You should be more worried about your own roster, and just chill on the shitty little beat up Corrolla analogy.... LV Odds on Bears to win SB - $100 bet would pay $10,000......Odds on Browns to win SB- $100 bet would pay $8000.... Bears are even bigger longshot than our little "potential" team over here... Just thought I'd point that out.
This has more to do with the weakness of the AFC than the weakness of the Bears. It's harder to make the playoffs in the NFC by far. IMHO
Well, I think we've clearly established that you don't know how to read, including that of my former posts. That's cool.
I had hoped that's what I was doing. Should've been more clear. Again, not trying to come off as an ass - just a bad morning for me. I think TopDawg and I agree on quite a bit, here, which was my point. I see plenty of potential on this team, and Browns fans should be excited. Where we disagree is whether this merits Browns fans "talk(ing) a little smack" right now, coming off a 0 win season. I said my piece, originally, so I'm good with moving on.
I just don't want too many people thinking the Browns might win the Super Bowl anytime soon. I plan on betting on them in a couple years and am hoping the odds stay high.
I see nothing wrong with me defending my stance on our roster overhaul, here on the Browns boards, nor throwing Joyner and Jernigan back in dline's face, but yeah I'll move on....I said all I needed to say on it anyway....
Moving on... https://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2018/06/david_njoku_cleveland_browns.html ^^^ I love what I'm hearing about David Njoku....
Is it really "smack" when we are sharing our excitement on OUR boards? Or is it just talk? If we were on theain boards or going into another teams boards, I would agree with you...but here, in our team space, how do you talk "smack" to each other?
BROWNS, CLEVELAND BROWNS FILM ROOM, NFL DRAFT Browns Film Room: WR Antonio Callaway’s strengths https://waitingfornextyear.com/2018/06/cleveland-browns-film-room-antonio-callaway-strengths/
Scot Mccloughan talks up the Browns’ chances, even after departure After being a draft consultant for Cleveland, he’s continuing to talk up the team’s personnel. Scot Mccloughan was brought in to the Cleveland Browns as a consultant for the 2018 NFL Draft. His work was complete following the draft, so he departed back to his independent scouting company that he has been running since being let go as the Washington Redskins GM. Despite his work being done in Cleveland, that didn’t stop him from giving an unsolicited testimonial earlier this week after not having been active on Twitter for months. Don't on the @Browns this year. Mark my words. “Don’t sleep on the Browns this year — mark my words,” said Mccloughan. He has also taken to Twitter to do the following: Called LB Genard Avery a “stud.” Asked “can they win a game first?” Mccloughan said, “I’ll buy you a $50 gift card to Target if they don’t.” OK, maybe that one isn’t going out on too much of a limb, but still. Described WR Antonio Callaway as a “speed guy and return guy,” and agreed that the situation is “very similar” to when GM John Dorsey got WR Tyreek Hill in the 5th round of the draft two years ago for Kansas City. His impression of RB Nick Chubb? “Love him. Bad ass,” said Mccloughan. Lastly, he was asked if it is smarter to play a rookie QB or sit a rookie QB. Mccloughan said to “sit them early,” noting how QB Aaron Rodgers sat for 3.5 years.
